Utah teen shamed over 'racist' prom dress wins praise in China

One day of OUTRAGE, resulted in this as being the yesterday's News.....^ a link !!!   Read and Learn that moral outrage, on social Media, is not always what it appears to be.   The Chinese cultural was not as outraged by an American girl wearing a Chinese  dress to a High-school Prom in America.

[ Socialist Teaching's by American collage TEACHERS, and  Liberal Thought, claim you Should BE, OUTRAGED. ]
Only 'social community organizer's,' were outraged because they thought it would cause more hate, for a cause that is totally meaningless, in the bigger- picture of LIFE.

Cultural socialists and social Media user's, were just made to 'Look' like the fools they really are......
Snow-flake's Need RAGE, to justify a weak argument. and Jewish people DO have opinions TOO, worth listening too.
Needing a 'Safe Place', Indeed !!!!!!   Hahaha......   I am a Jewish Christian.    The original Snowflake?   NO........
                                                           I'm not obsessed with "DOGMA".

I sure hope none of the Cultural Appropriation Fan Club use china in their homes … because if they are, they’re guilty of cultural appropriation themselves!

In 1837, the great French composer Hector Berlioz based the Dies Irae movement of his great Requiem on a line of Gregorian chant, which had been composed almost 800 years earlier. Should we put Berlioz on a new “index” of forbidden cultural items, because he dared borrow from a religious order of which he was not a part?

Should we slash all the Paul Gauguin canvases across the world’s museums, because he painted women from Tahiti?

Pablo Picasso developed a fascination with African masks, which led to African art becoming known and admired in Europe in the first half of the 20th century.

Bad Picasso! Bad Picasso!

Even I cannot afford to BUY, a single painting by Picasso.....   A pity.

DeeDeeSims - I was not referring to you. The Qeeen of the Trolls is HLB. Her acolyte is also called DeeDee, but not you. DeeDee88, I think. I divert myself by pulling their respective chains. Their diatribes are hilarious, even if unhinged.

I agree all of this is just blown way out of proportion and taken out of context.

Well, this is complicated ;-)

Disclaimer: I'm not even American, let alone Native. That said, I've spent long enough hanging around with American pagans to have heard a lot about this particular topic. So far as I can tell, the consensus is that because these headdresses are so important and sacred it's best that white people don't wear them unless they've been given permission to do so by a Native.

Nobody is saying you have to give up your RL headdress, HLB! What you describe sounds like a beautiful story, and you should wear it with pride. It's just that when they're in the store in a game like this, nothing about their specialness is being respected - they've just been thrown in as a random fashion statement. And that seems a bit disrespectful, you know? I can totally imagine that with your longstanding connection to your local tribes, you must roll your eyes a bit when some Valley Girl turns up in fake feathers from Forever 21 or whatever ;-)
