I think we have to keep death penalty for boring and unsexy people
Morality wise, I agree with the death penalty. I mean you hurt so many people’s lives you deserve that kind of punishment. However the death Penalty is like a black hole for money and makes hardly any progress on those with the sentence. It’s money that could better go into things like education for example. Which is why I think it should be done away with.

Death is inevitable. If someone takes another's persons life, we should put a stop to it before they can hurt anyone else.
Personally I think the death penalty is not only a wasted expense compared to life in prison, but it’s too idealistic.
Of course society would want to imagine a world without some horrific serial killer or whatever the case entails but too many people see it as an easy way out -
There’s actually a considerable amount of criminals who prefer or seek out the death penalty when charged for their crimes; As to not face the true consequences of their actions and instead end their sentence quickly by killing themselves. I think people like that deserve to live behind bars for as long as they’re around rather than be granted a short exit.
Not to mention our prison system frequently targets minority groups (such as black and latino men) for higher and more grave punishments compared to white criminals. The number of black men on death row that either do not deserve to be killed or didn’t even commit the crime they’ve been accused of is concerning. In that regard it’s essentially government sanctioned eugenics with extra steps.
