There are some great threads about hobbies but I'd like to make a thread specifically for handcrafts (jewelry, knitting, crochet, pottery, wood, etc. etc.). I think it'd be nice to share and be proud of what you make, what you want to learn, and maybe we can learn from each other :)

I make a lot of friendship bracelets and have a bit of experience making jewelry but there's a ton of other handcrafts I want to learn. I'm thinking about taking some carpentry classes because I want to learn to make furniture.

Here's a few I've made!!

I have done some macrame works in the past few years but I don't have any pictures of them so I'll post someone else's  macrame work here in case someone isn't familiar with it.
So here's a macrame wall cloth, and this one is not made by me:

Overall I'm not very good with handcrafts - I even almost failed handcrafts course in elementary school because of my nonexistent knitting skills T_T.
My mom goes to many handcrafts courses and when I was a child I went with her. Back then we made some pottery and it was really fun, maybe I should give it a new try after 20 years :D

Macrame is really beautiful!!
Even if you aren't great with handcrafts I still think it's fun and worth doing just for yourself :) if you enjoyed pottery classes I say go for it!

Yeah, I found macrame bit easier for me because it is done by knots and doesn't involve knitting needles and it's easy to get creative and make your own "patterns". I guess it is similar with friendship bracelets?
The friendship bracelets are a cute idea, and the ones you made look great.

Thank you!!

Friendship bracelets are actually macrame, so if you ever wanted to make some it'd probably be very easy to pick up ! It's also a pretty cheap hobby in my opinion, tons of colors and patterns to choose from. Eventually I want to make some wall hangings ^_^
