seeing people go to thrift stores and purchase interesting or cool items only to proceed to sell them on depop at a significantly higher price point makes my blood boil. if you sell style bundles i kind of hate you tbh

I totally agree, I hate it so much, also the thrift shops are getting more expensive because of this fuckers.
Used to find so many bands t-shirts that you can't find anywhere anymore, they just buy it really fast and sell it overprice like H&M or other fast fashion shops do.

Exactly what Decadance said, if you have the means to, it's definitely ethical and sustainable to get tailored things, from great material. Not only will the things fit you perfectly, but being crafted carefully by people paid sufficiently means they'll be extremely durable (from the get go, and the possibility to be fixed up later if they do wear out). The issue is buying Too Much, and that the way society is built, poor people have no other option but to thrift if they also want to not participate in unethical consumption paths (tho I'd argue, coming from the side that's too poor to consume in any way but second hand, when we Do get stuff from fast fashion, because it is the only affordable option at times, we keep those things for years. I've got stuff from middle school that I still wear. The problem is these things definitely wear down much quicker than what I've bought from thrifting and was originally an 'expensive' high quality item).
With wealth comes the possibility to Choose ethical options. Without ressources, thrifting is the default. Behaving ethically isn't only about personnal behaviours, but thinking as a whole, what action can I take so that the WHOLE can benefit AND act ethical.
Also, saying "gatekeep the rich away" is both a joke, and a statement that excludes way less people than one probably assumes I'm excluding. I'm def not saying any1 with a stable income should stay away, but specifically those wealthy enough to be able to get other ethical options, especially if they want to brag about their irreproachable ethical approach to fashion.
The thing is that even if you get tailored hand made clothes it still is creating more waste than thrifting. It's not even comparable to fast fashion,  but some people wanna make as big of a change as they can. Plus thrifting is the only way to be able to ethically wear clothes made out of materials like leather, silk or fur since you are not supporting those industries by buying second hand clothes.

They're forcing you to go to H&M and buy NASA hoodies. I love the way everyone is wearing NASA shit in the UK; I asked my brother what NASA was and he didn't even know. I had to laugh lmfao.

the word gringa isn't necessarily offensive, niche used it in a derogatory way and i can understand why that wouldnt be allowed here, but i wanna point out it isn't always derogatory and there's nuance to it so if you hear it dont always assume someone is saying something bad or rude

I love fake people, I love games, I love drama, music means nothing to me. I’m not a chill guy and if you fuck with my friends I will help you do it. I would betray any of my loved ones at any time and I would not hesitate to hit them with a car.
