Just gonna rant a bit here. I'm super stressed this summer because I recently dropped out of college as a biochemistry major and a pre-med student because I realized that the science world is a lot more problematic and corrupt than I thought, and also I'd probably never pursue the research I wanted. I'm stressed because I thought I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life but now I'm not so sure. I also need to find a job but I have nearly 0 experience in anything other than science so it's a little rough rn. Ugh, capitalism sucks. <33
spoon maybe u can do ur research later on or with a different perspective (unless it is very very scientific)! Things will fall into place for u im sure

i relate to this too. i actually wanted to study med (idk how to say tıp in english so i'll be calling it med, sorry if it's not the correct translation) but i don't want to face the possibility of getting beat just because i couldn't save a patient... being medical staff in turkey is tough.

I just don't agree with a lot of policies in place that dictate how and what researchers can do, I don't think I'll ever enter the science world again and honestly I'm okay with that, it's just picking up the pieces after I left that's hard.
the science world is very different from what most people think sadly.. it isn't profitable to make discoveries and long term things which sucks i hate society (corny)
