Ok get in my 22 year old car we are going to Las Vegas and going into the tunnels under the city we will set off fireworks in the areas that aren’t run by the homeless camps ( DO NOT BRING YOUR VALUABLES OR LEGAL IDENTIFICATION IN THE TUNNELS UNDER VEGAS SOMETIMES PEOPLE WILL TAKE THEM FROM YOU IF YOU ARE ABLE TO LEAVE THEM LOCKED IN YOUR CAR IM SO SEEIOUS RN) we will go to the beach and West Virginia because it’s beautiful and there’s something timeless about going to the gas station in the Appalachians and buying a pack of smokes we will go down to New Orleans and wander bourbon street and the less scary parts but don’t go past certain streets! Ah ah ah! Then once the psychics come out and the crackheads sit on the sidewalks and the bachelor parties leave we will go to the last couple bars the REAL New Orleans bars the ones with jazz the ones with REAL music not the invaders with their shit pre made tracks for the tourists not the clubs that look the same I’m talking the small ones that are always packed and there’s a bald guy singing his soul out and an old almost blind man absolutely JAMMIN on the piano it’s so crowded you almost can’t breath and your so close to the stage you can see the bald singers tonsils when he hits the high notes. We will go down highways faded dusty purple and towns that are mostly abandoned we will go to a grocery store run by the only couple who remember when said small town was actually alive and the lady running the register smokes inside cus no one cares at this point. Out front there’s posters from the local church offering food assistance take my hand tibby

obsessed with road tripping it’s one of my favorite things ever!! i have a little map of the US where i scratch out all the places ive driven to. i don’t count childhood trips, only ones ive done of my own free will as an adult. i think my favorite was diving from texas all the way west to los angeles, then heading north all the way up to portland. took several days of driving but the scenery was amazing, everything from deserts, to mountains, to snow. even some snowy desert mountains! native reservations, national parks, and wind turbine fields, the hollywood sign and golden bridge. 11/10 experience
when i was a kid i hated road trips because i would always beg to stop and see stuff along the way but my dad never would. now as an adult i can stop at all the weird attractions i want along the way. like when i saw a sign for the salton sea or the precious moments chapel and veered so hard into 2hr detours lol. also i love pressing pennies and road trips are the best opportunity to do so!! so many funky places and little tourist traps to check out and get wild penny designs from. like toad suck arkansas, which is a real town. and every year they apparently host a beauty pageant and crown one lucky lady the “toad suck queen” lmfao
