Capitalism sucks. I was an "essential worker" but I still lost my job due to the pandemic because the hospital I was working at actually lost money during the pandemic. Not only because they were spending more money on PPE, but also they stopped a lot of services. Ex. Stopped offering inpatient psych because it's hard to keep truly psychotic people socially distant. Stopped offering elective procedures, like bariatric surgery & hip/knee replacements. Stopped all outpatient services, including chemotherapy...then, 10% of the staff got laid off and the others got 25% pay cuts. I totally don't agree with what happened...not only because I need money for food & shelter (I can't afford my rent), but also because it sucks for all the patients whose healthcare is effected by this. I know the hospital needs to save money to function but their "money saving tactics" are hurting the poor people who live in my city & came to them for their free, charity care prior to the pandemic.
The real reason I came to this thread: Some shows really shouldn't have been dragged out to make more seasons; they start to go downhill at some point.
