I'm still pissed the only criticism I got for this picture was that she "looks like a man" (??? What's that even supposed to mean first off) and not like, suggestions to improve it. Just a saying that she looks like a man and a comparison to Corey Taylor's face shape (again, ???)
Either way, I'm trying to find the courage to finish it after the gutpunch said criticism was. It was a month ago that I got it and I'm still not over it lol

I think it was a reference to the square jaw. In my opinion, your art looks amazing, but some people don't like women with straight jaws. For the record, those people have no taste and women with square jaws look amazingly charming, but I do think that's an explanation for that bit of completely unfounded criticism.

Here's a quick (admittedly pretty lazy) edit I did as an example. I used Medibang Paint/FireAlpaca and a scatter brush with low particle size and low scatter strength, then turned the opacity level of the pore layer down to where it looked subtle. Ideally it would also be below the highlight layer, but you know. I'd also lower the particle size I used just a bit, but I felt this was a pretty good example.
