I feel like that's something you should be telling all of your mutual friends about and especially those who have younger siblings or children or are planning to have children (assuming this is an IRL friend) . That's what I would do at least

^ agree with that. (dropping my usual speak bc this is a rly serious topic lol) i have OCD and while i'm not attracted to minors i do experience thoughts and impulses as a result of my disorder that upset me and would be very bad if i were to act on them, and therapy has helped me a lot in managing those thoughts and making them less severe.

It's hard to say without knowing all the details, but I don't think you have any sort of obligation to keep them in your life. That being said, what might be concerning is that if you shut them out completely it might make them reluctant to share it with anyone else (if they already haven't) which would mean they probably wouldn't be willing to look for professional help. Despite the fact that they might have enough self-control to not act on their urges, the consenquences of them doing it would be way too serious for the victims to just leave it unchecked. Plus if they have a partner or plan on having any partners in the future, I think they deserve to know as there are a lot of people who wouldn't feel comfortable dating someone attracted to minors.

Found out my supervisor's wife cheated on him and it distracted me from the MAP. That made me happy at least.

It must be really hard to bear such burden... Keeping such secrets brings up moral dilemma. Sometimes you wish not to know -.-
It's good you find this forum a safe space to share it and hope sharing it has made this burden a bit lighter. You've already got a plenty of good suggestions. I totally agree with Miso, Iowa and Auntie. Their problem now became yours too. You share responsibility now and perhaps feel accountable for your now ex-friend.
I think you should unblock them and explain them why it is good for them to seek a professional help. It is important not to blame them and to be supportive, while at the same time prevent them of making terrible mistake and crime. You can save more than one life that way!
