I'm a strong feminist and one of the most important things to me is resisting and challenging rape culture. For this challenge, I've chosen to honor Kesha, who has boldly been standing against her abuser in spite of the potential risks to her career (and this was slightly before the #metoo movement was popularized!). I really admire Kesha and only hope the best for her. She is an icon. Also Tik Tok is classic guilty pleasure song.

My One Thing: Manicure/Nails

Statement:    
For those days where I don't feel like dressing up, when I'm feeling lazy and just want to wear sweats and leggings and be done with it, as long as my nails are done, I'm still feeling gorgeous. Though I can't wear jewelry because of my job, as long as my nails are done, I still feel like I have jewelry on. It's what makes me feel girly and femme on those days where my makeup is a mess and nothing looks right on me. It's a little bit of self-care on those days where I'm not liking what I see reflected back in the mirror. It's something I can do for myself even when I'm broke (or treat myself if I feel like being fancy). It's my moment of zen when I get my nail art just right, and I can upload that to insta.

I want to become a minister or Prime Ximbo. How do I do that?
Any Ximbo citizen can become Prime Ximbo using the democratic process. Its a 2 stage process from Senator>Prime Ximbo. All Ximbo xitizens can vote in general elections but in order to put themselves forward to become Prime Ximbo/a minister they must first become a Ximbo senator.

Can I become Prime Ximbo more than once?
Yes ­ a Ximbo can hold the position of Prime Ximbo for 6 terms max.

How often do elections take place?
The Fashionable Republic of Ximboland holds elections every 3 months for Prime Ximbo and every 3 months for State Ministers.

Where do important discussions take place?

What is the treasury/ministers/Prime Ximbos salary?
The treasury/salary is the bank account of The Fashionable Republic of Ximboland. This figure is transferred to the paypal account of the Prime Ximbo at the end of their 3 month term in charge.

How is the treasury calculated?
The treasury is funded by the Ximbo xenators.
A percentage (33%) of the money paid by Ximbo xenators via Paypal is transferred into the Ximbo treasury. The rest is used for further Ximboland development.
