11 - Omg you're right, it really is. I don't do well in those settings. I almost fainted lol. I had a great doctor and nurses though. It reminded me that I need to be better at getting examined more frequently.

10 - That sounds so scary... (゜ロ゜)

@Callista

True, going for daily check-ups every now & then wouldn't hurt. Always good to undergo for any long-term complications that may arise (if left untreated).

Whenever my period arrives, it sucks out the beauty I had, depletes me; and makes me super on the edge & extremely depressed. Those depressive symptoms usually calm down after the cycle is complete.

Not only that — but that progesterone hormone gives me intense, sore lower-back pain. I've started to feel that intensity recently.

It starts making me walking all weird because those menstrual periods are far worse than vampires, they suck the iron out of us. ゜゜(´O`)°゜

9 - I know what you mean. It can make me feel so numb too like I can't enjoy the things I normally do. Going between anxious and depressed. I'm going to be better at keeping an eye on things because I've heard horror stories :( I feel like even when it doesn't *actually* suck out the beauty it can take away your spark for a few days-week, every month.

7 - Oooh, wouldn't that be nice?! Lol I'm always conflicted between consuming/doing all the things that are bad for me and detoxing completely.

6 - Honestly, just the ability of being able to give birth sounds boring.

I was so disappointed when I found this out when I was 9-years-old. I felt like an outsider. I did not find it to be a "gift" like how my K12 instructors said it'd be. Bleh!

Very labor-inducing and the yucky responsibilities of getting tied-down.

Maybe I'm saying that because I'm tomboyish and I feel far from womanly at times. LOL!

Not to insult the (XX) body, it's just like all of this suffering for what??

Note: I do respect mamas in general though, just a common courtesy, of course.
No matter how much weight I tried losing, even at my most extreme (ED), I could never run away from my menstrual cycle — but, I get why since it's the labor required in order to have a functional endocrine system.

But I feel comfortable with my identity and body now than my past self used to. I have a healthy, balanced relationship with myself now. I learned how to be happier and the joys gratitude can bring.

5 - Yes, I absolutely adore children. I just hate the thought of going through the whole process of having one of my own. The older I’ve gotten, and the more I’ve learned and experienced, the more fearful I’ve become of pregnancy and childbirth. I feel like society as a whole often takes motherhood for granted. It’s an incredible sacrifice and a labor of love, but it can also be a physically and emotionally difficult (even traumatic) experience for the mother. I think we sometimes romanticize motherhood without acknowledging just how much a woman is asked to endure. Sometimes, despite the aches, pains, and mood-swings, I'm so relieved to get my period and be free. A couple years ago I really had baby fever...but I think it might be passing.

4 - Aww, true... kids can be cute.
Mamas do go through a lot though. I agree. It's just not fair, but that is the way it has been for centuries.

Too bad us women are more prone to osteoporosis since we get our menstrual cycles on a monthly, daily basis throughout our lives.

I never really have felt baby fever, at least not in this current stage of my life. I believe you though.

It might sound immature of me to say, but I did despise how girlhood especially bleeding was portrayed in the instructional media I was shown. Like why are we making it sound randomly joyful and like there’s flowers everywhere when our body is engaged in biological, trench warfare?

When I was younger — I didn't like the implications simplifying it to be a gift.
