I'm so sorry for not replying for so long. First I was away for 5 days and then... I'm gonna be honest, a game I play released some new content so... Yeah :D
Anyway, thank you to everyone who contributed their feedback!! I've seen some great suggestions and we'll post here shortly with suggestions for rule revisions for everyone to check out :)

1. Treat other members with respect. Insults, personal attacks, appropriation, discriminatory language or any kind of language that incites hatred towards any group of people or promotes hateful views of that group will NOT be tolerated. This includes discrimination on the basis of:
gender and gender identity – no sexism, transphobia, misogyny, misandry, discrimination towards intersex people, non-binary people;sexual orientation – no homophobia, biphobia or discrimination towards any part of the LGBTQ+ community;race, ethnicity or nationality – no discrimination based on skin color, race, ethnicity or nationality, no inciting ethnic or racial hatred, no racial or ethnic appropriation and no glorification or denial of genocides;language – no discrimination towards people who speak any language or who don’t speak a particular language at the same level as native speakers,age – no ageism or discrimination against any age group;disability – no ableism/disablism, no discrimination against any physical or mental disability or people who have such disabilities;religious beliefs – no islamophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Catholicism, discrimination against or appropriation of any religious beliefs or culture, no discrimination against Atheists;drug use – no discrimination against people who struggle with drug use, no discrimination or mockery of drug abuse;socioeconomic status – no economic discrimination, no aporophobia;immigrants – no xenophobia;culture or subculture – no discrimination, hate speech towards or appropriation of the cultures of:any geographical area (alphabetically, any region of Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania or South America),nation,national minority,ethnic group (alphabetically, the Aboriginal Australian peoples, the Indigenous peoples of South America, the Inuit peoples, the Māori or other indigenous Polynesian people, Native Americans, the Romani and any other indigenous peoples on the planet),any other group’s culture (gender, racial, ethnic, national, religious…);2. The Forum language is English. Posting in other languages is only allowed in appropriate threads.
3. Do not spam. Any post or thread considered as spam will be deleted. This includes duplicate topics and topics deemed unnecessary by the forum moderators. If you feel your thread was deleted wrongly, contact a forum moderator and they will review your request.
4. Profanity: Excessive profanity is not allowed. This means that the occasional swear word is okay (like "shit" and "fuck") because we're all adults here. However, using swear words in every single sentence or even multiple times in a single sentence is in poor taste and not allowed.
5. Adult content: Pornography (full nudity) is not allowed. Discussions about adult topics are allowed so long as they remain neutral and do not delve too much into personal experiences and fantasies. Posts containing adult material (images, gifs and videos of pornography, full nudity or genitalia) or detailed, vivid and graphic descriptions of sexual acts and fantasies which force other people into non-consensual participation in said fantasies are not okay and will be deleted.
6. Roleplaying: Roleplaying is only allowed in threads marked with the [Roleplaying] tag in the beginning of the topic name. As per players’ requests Erotic Role-Playing (ERP) is NOT allowed anywhere in the forum as it is a form of non-consensual participation.
7. Do not post in ALL CAPITALS since this is considered shouting and is not necessary.
8. Refrain from posting images larger than 1600x1200. This is considerate to players with slow internet speed and prevents the site from experiencing latency problems.
9. No posting of copyrighted materials or other illegal content is allowed. Any posts containing illegal content or copyrighted materials will be deleted.
10. Post only in the appropriate thread. Posts written in wrong threads will be moved to the right ones.
11. Start a new thread only if no thread exists on the same topic. Duplicate threads/topics will be deleted. Use the search function to look for existing threads.
12. Refrain from making too many forum posts in a row and if possible, make use of the "Edit post" option. You are allowed a maximum of 3 posts in a row. Making 4 or more posts in a row is considered spam and will result in all of those posts getting deleted.
The “Wit, games and educated frivolity” subforum is an exception to this rule. To ensure other people get to participate in the forum games, you are only allowed to make one post. If someone else posts after you or 24 hours have elapsed since your previous post, you may post again.

i think it sounds good and i appreciate the effort gone into writing these rules up. i was wondering re: rule 6, will users be able to make their own roleplaying threads then, or is that something for the fgs to do? and would they just end up in the wit and games catagory?

Yes, that's right Cum. But in order to close of any loopholes and room for interpretation I did a little bit of research into the different forms of discrimination in order to be as detailed as possible. If I missed any, please let me know so I can add them.
Torrenoia, they'll be made as any other thread, you'll just have to make the title "[Roleplaying] Adventures in Wogharts" or whatever :) We recently unpinned a large majority of (unnecessarily pinned) threads in the game subforum, making room for potentially popular and frequently visited RP threads. The pinning of course will be done by FGs. So yeah, same as any other thread really. Do you think they should be treated differently?

As with every other topic that's started in the forum, I expect most of the threads will be met with little or no interest and quickly move to page two and eventually disappear into the abyss of old forum threads.
