Hi all! Sorry for the delay on this, I have had a mess of a week and as we all know, State Wars was pretty all-consuming! But here I am. No super fancy Canva this round because I just don't have time to make one, same reason I'll try to make it short here.
Achievements in the last 3 months:
- Worked with admin to suggest and have implemented some shop improvements. It's a little win some, lose some, but we're working on it, and one major improvement is we can now upload multiple files at once with the same position and price, allowing us to add recolors much faster.
- Designers and fashion workers now have a role. I can't assign these to anyone with an existing role, so the list is not conclusive, but if you check out the Pink House page, you can see some of our current veteran designers.
- Ran the Spooky Surprises sale event (see my signature) which has a few more days left! This took a ton of planning and the whole shop put in a lot of work making designs for this event. We've uploaded every day for a month!!
- Uploaded 840 clothing items, but I expect this to be more like 950-1000 by the end of the term. This is lower than previous months, but we lost many designers last spring so we don't want to upload things too quickly and run out. Additionally, the shop tools were broken for much of August and Blecky89 and I are still experiencing IRL troubles with our housing. I am very proud of what we've accomplished despite the circumstances!
- Continued fixing glitched items and fulfilling recolor requests
Goals for next term:
- the long-awaited designer guide. Sorry it didn't happen this term—it's a time-consuming task and I didn't want to take time away from uploads when they'd been so slowed for a variety of reasons. Next time!!
- Secret Santa Art Exchange! I ran this event last year and though it's not strictly fashion related, it's still worth mentioning. Sign-ups for that will start in mid to late November, so watch out for that popup and message me if you'd like to be added to a list to receive a message when the survey goes up. This is like a mystery art trade between users.
- At least one guaranteed shop sale event, hopefully two. We'll be taking a month off from events in November as Spooky Surprises has been pretty demanding, but you'll see us in December for the yearly Advent Calendar, yay! And we have early plans for another event which we are hoping to host late January if possible.
- I'd really love to get admin on board with a consistent designer payment structure. I pitched a detailed plan last term, but SAN has been away from office and we weren't able to make it happen, but I'm determined to keep pushing for it.
- Some secret goals that will be revealed in due time, if I'm able to make them happen!!
- Designer spotlights! I'd love to make a thread in Nines once a month about one of our current designers, having them answer some questions and talk about their inspirations, aesthetics, and any tips they have for new designers. We'd also love to include a set or a few new items from them that they feel encapsulate their designer style. Designers really carry this site and they deserve to be recognized, and I hope this will inspire other users to get involved and start designing themselves.
- Advocate for new shop functions which would increase the number of treasury purchases and Senator subscriptions. The goal is to bring in more revenue so greater improvements can be made.
- At least one all-state fashion contest!
Why you should re-elect me:
- Even at a lower activity level, I am super dedicated to this site and consistently spend at least 10 hours a week on shop activities.
- I am extremely familiar with the complex and often nitpicky shop tools, making me the best fit for this position which rotates entirely around the shop.
- I'm a designer and active site user with many outfits and a bunch of contest wins under my belt. I understand fashion!
- I'm active and involved with the community and my messages are always open. Please never feel afraid to reach out about anything!!
