Seeing as I had to have an abortion recently, I'm pro choice. I don't regret my decision; it had to be done under the circumstances. My baby would have suffered and died if carried to term. I only regret that I had to be in the position to make the decision. But I think it's far more humane to terminate a pregnancy than to carry a sick baby to term and then have to watch it suffer and die in your arms. I'm pro choice not only because of medical reasons, but because the reason why a woman chooses an abortion is absolutely nobody's damn business.

Personally, I don't think I could ever go through an abortion. I'm an emotional wreck half the time as it is and don't believe I have the mental strength to handle myself. But I'm definitely pro choice. There are various reasons people consider and go through the process. And I don't think anyone can truly understand that. You may not agree with it, but it doesn't giver you right to dictate to someone else what they should or shouldn't do.

I'm definitely pro-choice for many years.
When I was in High School (because in middle school we didn't talk of these) my teachers and classmates were all pro-life. Sometimes in philosophy or science they would give these big presentations demonizing woman for these acts. They would also use tons of graphic images (none of the images used by pro-lifers are photos of actual abortions and anyone with scientific knowledge about development in the womb would know these, although many forget when this is the debate in question). I remember hating those because I could barely look at the images and felt as if I agreed with abortion I was cold-hearten person. The worst person you could find. I was pro-choice but sometimes felt really bad about it and didn't told anyone because everyone tough I was already to crazy (that's what you get for being a free open mind in a small town).
But now, I'm not ashamed and I'm strong about my opinions. I don't think I could ever have an abortion, but I can't tell because until you walk in someone else's shoes you can't really know for sure. But this is about choice. Just because you would never do something, it doesn't mean you should take others people rights and make them your owns.
Abortions will happen even if they are illegal. Women die every year because of home made abortions, baby's are left to die, some get abused by families etc etc.
This is about choice and protection of the woman with unwanted pregnancies.
(Sorry about the English, this is a complex subject and sometimes I miss words because I'm not native)

Abortions aren't as bad. The baby isn't as alive as us so it doesn't really count as a murder or anything.

You never know someone's circumstances or story.. only they do... its their choice what they can and can not live with and what they need to do. What feels like the right decision... for them. For their circumstance, their heart, their soul..... I don't believe for a second that the choice is easy to make, regardless the circumstances. I don't think anyone takes it lightly. Speaking from experience, (not that I have ever had an abortion, but I work with inner city youth who are in high risk situations and lifestyles [lots of abuse, grow up in the system, 14 year old kids in the sex trade, severe addictions, etc). Working with them, this is  One of the hardest decisions that any person has to make....  Don't judge.... be supportive... you never know....

Absolutely pro choice. I couldn't possibly imagine getting pregnant at this point in my life when I'm not ready, but luckily for me (I guess?) I'm a barren woman. I don't get periods and I can't get pregnant. I guess its kind of a blessing and a curse? But one day when I'm ready I might adopt a child who really needs me, and that child will be so loved because I'll have planned for them, and I'll have chosen them and I'll do everything I can to ensure they grow up happy and healthy. But an unplanned child could grow up so miserable, as could the mother. Pregnancy shouldn't be a punishment for having sex, or for getting raped. And it pisses me the hell off that most of the people policing women's bodies and their choices are men. Until men can get pregnant, they shouldn't have ANY say in this matter. In fact, no one should get a say. It should be up to the person with the uterus and they deserve all the help they need for a safe procedure. The pro-lifer's who mass murder people at abortion clinics are literally oxymorons. You say you're pro life for a clump of cells and tissue but not for the fully formed human being its inside of...? Ok....

While I am very Pro-life in general. There is cases where an abortion is very medically necessary to save the life of the mother.  I see nothing wrong in that. Rape, if real and not just post sexual regret, could also be a fair reason. (However)  Where I do have a problem is when Abortions become a method of birth-control.  There is so many different ways to stop cell growth before it becomes a fetus with a heart-beat, and sensitivity to pain.   Once there is a heart beat, it becomes murder if there is no health reasons to preclude a normal term of 9 months of gestation.  Why kill a baby that is SO WANTED by so many childless couples?
  ADOPTION !!!!!!!!
If you want meaningless sex and receive an unwanted baby, give it away.
People like me would cherish that child.  I am amazed by the fact some mothers kill children even after giving birth in Bathrooms.  Ignoring the very presence of a pregnancy, and indeed HUMAN LIFE they held for 9 months inside of them.  I felt my babies, and never once thought about killing them.

Being a feminist shouldn't mean that you must accept abortion as a form of power over your body.  Abortion is the result of a powerless woman over her own self-control. Every woman in First world nations have access to birth control.  Abortion is the worst form of genocide because it is encouraged by Governments.  Hitlers plan for a master race in the 1930's, is alive and well with the abortionist moment in the 21st century.  Who's babies are being aborted at very un-common rates.  The poor, and Americans of a darker skin tone.
A new life form shouldn't be made to suffer the death penalty because the big 'girls' panties were dropped in the heat of the moment.  Empowerment doesn't come upon the death of the powerless.    Read some of the stories of regret on the internet.   I can't seem to find any that extols the beauty of an Abortion.  Could this be because of the pure and natural shame most good people feel about the murder of the innocent?
Certainly something best ignored in the best interests of modern  POLITICAL CORRECTNESS.
Would anyone want to explore this Idea from a religious perspective?

While I do carry a clergy card, I will spare you the sermon because what you do is none of my concern. The belief in an after-life would make most religious people think twice about murdering their own child.  The child is  'Saved' in innocence.  Never needing to suffer an Earthly existence.  The mother who put to death her own child, will remember that for all of her eternal existence.  Regret may fade in our mortal lives, but what will you say to an angel you made, but killed on earth because you were told that Abortion is your right, because it is your body.?  Babies become a lump of cancerous cells, to be destroyed.
How will you face that baby and beg forgiveness?
Hell, Calling, Heaven...  Can you hear me now?
 "Sorry Mommy, You Killed Me."
Our individual hell is what we make of life.

i used to be very pro-life because i thought that was so unfair you opened your legs and knew the consequences you made your bed lie in it but then i started realizing that a nice percentage of the women getting abortions are teenagers and young adults and are in no position to take care of a baby and they cant just give them away and put them into foster care because 6 out of 10 times they are bad homes with abusive and neglectful parents or like if they keep the baby they could end up resenting them because they potentially stopped them from doing a lot of things they could have done with their life if they didn't have a baby if that makes sense
