Being so out of practice, I fear that I've let my ankles get to weak. I would be able to stand, but walking and wearing them for more than a few minutes, would be out of the question. Even at my own wedding, I wore high heel shoes only for the pictures. Ruining my stockings while actually walking barefooted the rest of the time.

Sadly it is winter in my town.... No inline skating, for me for the rest of the year.
However our city did start up a new program of making a city park into an ice-skating trail.
Not your typical ice skating ring. It isn't made yet, because we don't have enough snow yet, but soon........
I think I'll buy a new set of ice-skates this year. I really suck at Ice skating, but I suppose I'll just need to practice a bit more.
I am awesome on in-line skates, but being on a steel-blade, seems so much more different to me for some unknown reason.
We have groomed trails for cross counter skiing too, but I feel so silly on them, but is also good for strengthening your ankle's, if you don't break them first going down a hill trying to turn suddenly.

I never knew that. I could have learnt to skate with rollerblades but both times friends offered I said no. I was embarrassed of my feet.
In-line skating is really fun... Once you learn how to balance on them. Ankle strength.
Actually I learned a technique, where I can move myself at great speed without even lifting a single foot, and keeping the wheels in contact with the ground at all time's, just by shifting my weight from one leg to another. [Sort of like a down-hill skier does.]
The fast I've gone as measured by a car driving next to me on flat ground was 35 MPH.
That is crazy fast in 'glorified shoes' In my opinion.

As an Australian you might find this sort of funny.... An American woman knows how to use a boomerang, with deadly accuracy.
I started throwing them when I was just 10 year's old. Just because I had a pen-pal 'pre-internet age' from Australia and she sent me one for Christmas. Well, me being me, I used it, and it took me year's to learn how to use it by trial and error.... I had no teacher's of course, and no way to learn but by throwing it. over and over and over, and chasing it down over and over and over, again.........................
Now I'm rather good at it....... I still can't catch it perfectly because if I want to kill a rabbit or rodent, it usually embeds itself in the dirt next to the kill. Boomerang's are not like they show in the movie's. Just saying.
The American version, the Frisbee. With a 150 gram weighted one, I am deadly too. Except actually more so.
Pin point accuracy to the point anyone tossing or playing with me that doesn't catch or deflect it, can suffer a neck injury.
The odd thing is, I only use 3 finger's and my wrist to send them at speeds upwards of 80 MPH.
