Those coins while legal money is never spent. People treasure them as they are the only gold coin in circulation in America.
Not really gold, but gold plated, but so unusual, they are desired as trinket's and as such, never spent. I'm lucky if I can find one in a bank twice a year.... Banker's, hate them because they don't know how to account for them in regular deposits.

I also hate people who treat jail as a hotel. They will purposely break the law to go to jail because it's a free home for them like free food and a place to sleep it's terrible.
