Hi Freethinkers! Soooo I just went to the dermatologist and got prescribed some medications and topicals for my skin and I thought it would be a great idea to open a thread for us to talk about our skincare routines and ask for/give advice to others surrounding skincare.
My skincare routine:
☆ Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide face wash
☆ Clean N Clear Toner
☆ Salicylic Acid moisturizer
☆Healing ointment on my undereye and forehead wrinkles
Sometimes I'll also use glycolic acid to bring up my blackheads or acne before using a blackhead remover tool.
Usually 3 x/ week I'll use a suction blackhead remover which removes blackheads and unclogs my pores in between my cleanser and toner/moisturizer.

Does anyone else have a skincare routine that they follow devoutly?  Any secret tips you care to share? Leave them down below -->

- Mo (Morning only)
- Nto (Nighttime only)

My routine:
1. (Mo) I scrub every other day or so
2. Cleanse with an acne-foaming wash
3. (Nto) a 10% benzoyl peroxide wash
4. Clearasil wipes
5. (Nto) Prescribed Retinol (helps with hyperpigmentation on my face due to acne scars.)
6. (Mo) sunscreen
7. Moisturize

I follow this every single day and night. If I miss a day, I might get some pimples here and there. I've had acne since around 5th grade. So, it has been a long journey for me. Remember, everyone should wear sunscreen! and moisturize always.

I am glad you brought up this topic; skin care is different for everyone, and I'm interested in seeing others' routines. I am also planning on buying that suction for my nose cause I need it urgently lol.

I love hearing about others' skin care and day/night rituals! I love the attention to detail and taking care of yourself. I will admit that there are more days than not where I do not follow a routine I made for myself including skincare. A few months ago I decided to start a new routine with new products I bought in a set from Clinique to help combat my redness. I may have a mild case of rosacea, though I have yet to go to a dermatologist.

So as of now, my routine (in a perfect world where I did wake up feeling especially motivated) consists of using the "Redness Solutions Redness Regimen" set that I purchased from Ulta along with some other products I already own.

Morning:
Peter Thomas Roth: FirmX Peeling Gel - to gently exfoliate my skin (Once or twice a week)
Clinique: Redness Solutions Cleanser - to cleanse
Pixi: Glow Tonic - to tone and for extra cleansing, I don't do it on days I use the peeling gel
Versed: "Vacation Eyes" Brightening Eye Gel - dark circles and puffiness be gone!!
Clinique: Redness Solutions Daily Cream - to moisturize
Supergoop!: PLAY Everyday SPF 50 - on days when I'm not wearing makeup this is my final step!
Clinique: Redness Solutions Protective Base SPF 15 - on days when I am wearing makeup as it provides a neutralizing and protective layer to combat redness while prepping for makeup application... this would be my final skincare step!

Night:
Garnier Skinactive: Micellar Cleansing Water - to remove makeup
If I did not exfoliate/tone in the morning I would do it now
Clinique: Redness Solutions Cleanser - to cleanse
Palmer's: Cocoa Butter Skin Therapy Oil - burst of vitamin C, I wear it before bed to allow my skin to absorb and so that I'm not walking around frying my face during the day
This is the time when I would either use a cold/ice face roller!
Clinique: Redness Solutions Daily Cream - to moisturize, final step before bed!

Remember to wash your pillowcases! SPF is sooo important!!

Vitamin e is so good for your skin. I personally think it works better if you get the gel capsules and pop it open to put on your face. The vitamin e in a bottle has so much added to it that you don't need. I put it on before bed and wake up with such soft skin.
