I love hunting down antique radiation equipment! I've got an old dosimeter reader/charger and an old survey meter that's unfortunately lost its probe. Both are from the early to mid 1950s and otherwise in great condition! The survey meter even has a radium based radiation source for calibration, which were discontinued in the early 60s. A lot of that stuff was built to last 200+ years in fallout shelters, so they hold up a lot better than you'd expect!that hobby is literally the coolest thing ever and u and ur gf sound so sweet omg
Also, my gf does a lot of repairs and restoration on vintage/retro radios and sound systems, so she has a ton of hands-on experience working with vacuum tubes and all that old school tech. It really feels like a match made in heaven sometimes...
