My family has a lot of stories that have been passed down some generations, some paranormal and some real! (Which can arguably be even creepier!)
I’ll share one of the real ones. The details are a bit hazy as I haven’t heard the story in a while, but it happened to either my great grandpa or my great uncle, can’t remember which.
When he was a boy, maybe around 11-12, he came home at night while everyone else in the family was still at work or doing something else. So he was home alone. It was about his bedtime, so he undressed, folded his clothes and put them near his bed, and got in bed to go to sleep. As he’s in bed, he realizes that the foot of his bed is slowly moving up and down, like someone breathing. Someone was under his bed, and their back was pushing up against the bed, moving it as they breathed. He was terrified, but his clothes were right near his bed still, and he could run over to a neighbors house. So he made up his mind and jumped out of bed, grabbed his clothes, and ran! At his neighbor’s house they called the police, but when they got to his house, the person had already left. But they were not dismissive, turns out there was an recently escaped convict in the area!! So they don’t know for sure, but they’re pretty sure that’s who was hiding under his bed.
