i've noticed especially with the influx of people from tumblr on bimboland that there are lots of people using stamps and similar things (blinkies, etc) on their page, signature, and comments, and so far i have seen a grand total of one person actually giving credit to the creators, and this really bothers me, especially when it's super easy to give credit.
i'm someone who used to make stamps on deviantart that got a pretty good amount of attention, and on multiple occasions i've seen some of my stamps on tumblr, posted along with six or seven other stamps by other artists with no credit or link or mention of our usernames. i've also seen this with pixel art and other web graphics. people put time, skill, and effort into creating these things, and they are just as deserving of credit as any drawing or painting. so i'm asking all the bimbos, himbos, and thembos that use stuff like this on their page to please provide credit to the creators. and i'm going to give you a quick rundown of how to do that with a random stamp i found on deviantart.
1. right click the stamp and click 'copy image address'
2. on your signature or comment or whatever, hit the 'insert image' button
3. paste the image address and click the check mark. your image or graphic is now there.
4. go back to the stamp on deviantart and copy the link in the address bar. this is different than the link you got from 'copy image address.' this link will take you to the actual page of the artist's upload, with a title and description and everything.
5. highlight the stamp like you would highlight text to create a hyperlink, then click the 'insert link' button.
6. paste the link to the artist's upload, and hit the check mark.
7. when all is said and done, the end result should be a stamp that you can click on in order to go directly to its source on deviantart! like this:
easy! and it still looks the same!
remember that when pasting links into the 'insert link' or 'insert image' thing, they already have 'https://' there, so you have to backspace that before pasting your link, or else the link will end up being https://https://www.blahblah.com which wont work.
