Elections for Reasonopia State Minister are on September 15th, 2024!

State Minister elections are coming up soon! This thread will be used as a central place for candidates to share their programs and for YOU to learn more about why you might want to do this fun community job! State Minister is an important and fun community role, from running contests to supporting members of your state to even aiding in moderation of your own hall to create the environment you and your citizens prefer.
Requirements
☆ To run for State Minister you must be a paying Senator for the entirety of your term (3 months) so no artifacts!☆ If your Senatorship lapses during your term, you will have one week to resubscribe before you are removed as a State Minister.
☆ As a Senator, you will have to write a program and make it visible. To do this, go to the Politics icon on your profile (see below) and choose the check box to say you will participating. Make sure to save!
☆ You can edit your program later, but you will not be able to add or remove a program within the final 6 hours before elections, so make your decision before then!
State Minister Tools
Thank you to audrey_lynn for much of the description below! These are the powers and additional tools you receive on site as a State Minister.☆ Gifting tool - this lets you give ximbo in-game currency like diamonds, B$, tokens etc. (These gifts will come out of your own diamond balance, so you will have to pay for the Diamonds yourself)
☆ Ability to see when each Reasonopian was recently active
☆ Ability to see any Reasonopian's comment history
☆ Ability to jail Reasonopians for 1 or 3 days
☆ Ability to forum ban people from the Reasonopia Town Hall for 1, 3, or 5 days
☆ Receive profile reports of all Reasonopians (you cannot see or message the person who reported, and you do not receive forum post reports)
☆ Ability to make pop-up posts, polls, and sticky (pinned to the top) threads in Reasonopia town hall
Along with the tools, SMs are also expected to keep the citizens of their states entertained through fashion contests and activities, and communicate with other members of the Pink House for things like reports, group contests, etc. It is also common for people to come to you with issues or questions, because you are the representative for the state. The new forum ban tools for State Ministers also mean you can make rules for what kinds of behavior you will or will not allow in your town hall—but make sure you include those intentions in your program!
Your program can include whatever you want, but I suggest explaining why people should vote for you (your qualifications, personality, etc), what you will do if elected (contests, activities, potential forum rules, continuation of previous SM traditions if you like, etc), and anything else you'd like to share. Symbols and images don't generally work in programs, so don't include those!
Your program will be visible from September 1st until the election on the 15th, which means it will already be visible if you save it.

If you are the current State Minister of this state and will not be running in the upcoming election, I suggest you say so below so that your state's citizens can know the position is completely open. However, even if the current SM is running again, if you are interested in the position you are always encouraged to run against them! That's what Xemocracy is all about :)
