it’s already been three months, and we’re onto our final state minister elections for 2024 ~
an exciting time for the elections, as the beginning of next term will mark the end of 2024 and lead us into the new year of 2025.
for any of those who would like to campaign, feel free to either campaign in this thread, or link your own program here. you can check the countdown on when voting begins towards the bottom of the website.

what is a state minister?
if you‘re either newer citizen or maybe aren’t fully aware of what a state minister is, a state minister is an elected senator that leads one of the six states here in ximboland. the state ministers help keep engagement within their state, and can converse with the other ministers about ximboland, contests, moderation and other things that pertain to ximboland. as the ‘head of state’, they are also the ones you can go to first for any issues or questions you have - you may prefer to ask or question your own state minister, however all ministers are more than happy to help ~
who can become state minister?
anyone is eligible to become a state minister as long as you are a paying senator ( no senator grails ). you will need to keep your senatorship for the duration of your term ( three months ), otherwise your state will no longer have a state minister. if you’re on a monthly senatorship basis and it lapses during your term, that’s okay! you will have a week to resubscribe before you’re removed as state minister.
how can i run for state minister?
if you wish to run for the state minister elections, just click politics icon on your ximbo profile found here;
here, you can write up your program which will be seen on the day of voting for state ministers. you’ll want to ensure you have have it ticked/checked if you’re interested in running.
you can update and change anything written in your program here up until 6 hours before voting - once this time passes, you will be unable to make any further changes, so ensure this is done before then.
please also note that a lot of special keyboard symbols, any emojis and images won’t work; so to save a big headache of rewriting everything, ensure you don’t have any of those within your program here - however feel free to use images and the like in your campaign in the forum/posts.
what can i do as state minister?
state ministers ( like all ministers ), are given certain tools and powers on the site in order to help run, moderate and issue prizes. for our state purposes, these are written for atheista, however this pertains to all state ministers for their own state. these tools include;
☆ gifting tool - this includes tickets, small/medium/large chests, tokens, ximbo dollars and diamonds [ this is paid for with your own diamond balance ]
☆ ability to see when each athiestan was recently active
☆ ability to see any athiestan's comment history
☆ ability to jail athiestans for 1 or 3 days
☆ ability to forum ban people from the Athiesta Town Hall for 1, 3, or 5 days
☆ receive profile reports of all athiestans (you cannot see or message the person who reported, and you do not receive forum post reports)
☆ ability to make pop-up posts, polls, and sticky (pinned to the top) threads in athiesta town hall

state ministers, to keep engagement, will usually hosts contests and events within their own state, however some may hold contests for all states, or even collaborate with other ministers. it’s a fun way to get creative, and a way to get to know your fellow citizens on the site!
how can i campaign?
it can be a little daunting if you’ve never campaigned or written a program before and want to throw your hat in the ring, but don’t fret for i’m here to help with any questions you may have! the other ministers will also be more than happy to assist where need be.
as stated above, feel free to link your campaigns here, or write them below. this is time for your fellow state citizens to see who is interested in running and give them a clue in what will entail if the candidate were to win the election. this will generally be your program ( written in the politics section ), but you can write more, add images and make it more visually fun! this is also a way to broaden scope, as only those who visit you and click on your politics icon will be able to see your program ( aside from voting day ).
you can include things like ideas you have, any contests, activities, town hall rules that you’d want to implement, and anything else you feel relevant to your campaign! the ximbo world is your oyster ~
overall, state minister is a super fun role to have, and i encourage anyone who is interested to give it a go!
