The senate is officially going to decide if the KIDS Act will pass on August 5th & I found out that news on the very same day that my childhood youtuber, hotdiggedydemon, wanted to go to switzerland to have assisted "life resetting".
He's reconsidering it but still, it breaks my heart that he would do that but at the same time, I feel like a monster for understanding his reason why.
He has a condition called fibromyalgia & some other ones that would make him too sick to have a real job besides streaming. He had also said that streaming is also making him miserable too.
Anyways, back to the senate deciding the KIDS Act thing. Well, the USA as a whole at this point.
Whenever I read the real history of my nation, my heart gets crushed. Here's some examples.
The trail of tears, the enslavement of the haitian people, forcing the american indigenous people to "kill the indian and save the man", the takeover of puerto rico and hawaii, and the icing on this shitty sundae is that we used to force latinos and latinas in the 1950s-60s to stop speaking spanish while being segregated as the same level of african americans.
I wish that I was AT LEAST TAUGHT THAT in high school.
Now, I want to learn Haitian Creole, French, Hawaiian and Navajo because of this! It inspired me to learn Spanish more, oddly enough. Still deciding between Swahili, West African Pidgin or Nigerian Pidgin though.
But the good things that I finally learned are the Code Talkers which used american indigenous languages as code to fight World War 2. There also used to be African slaves who fought in the civil war as well.
Now I am wondering if the KIDS Act will prevent anyone else from learning any of this and cause censorship as well. I don't know what I would do if this passes because I look pretty young for my adult age and I'm deadly afraid of hackers.
As I said in part 1 of my irl rant, 2 companies already had data breaches because of this but I'm afraid that this will lead to even more data breaches!!
In conclusion, as much as the US government wants my id to be on the internet, I will not be doing that and I will find ways to avoid it.
If Ximboland requires my government id to remain a fashion designer one day cuz of this act, I will gladly resign.
