i seriously can't imagine this level of pettiness being portrayed over someone asking you to change one word in the name of a contest theme in a dress up game. like, lilly, you're saying we're overreacting because "it's just a game" but isn't it kinda weird to get this worked up over something that is, indeed, just a game? in the end it doesn't matter because the theme isn't winning anyway, but so far you've been the only person displaying hostility and it's entirely unnecessary.
also, as an indigenous person myself - since you seem SO hung up over people speaking for us - i would be pretty offended if a part of my culture was used in a bimbo browser game.

Pointing out that using a certain term is inappropriate isn't the end of the world, even more so when there's an actual rule on cultural appropriation. There are 20 other themes to choose from anyway

OMG I'm so sorry! I didn't think at all! I never meant any harm with my theme "Spirit animal" but now I understand that it can be seen as cultural appropriation. Please take my theme down or change the title

Perhaps you could include a little note next to it or in the description saying "if this theme wins, the name will be different". If someone thinks it is cultural appropriation shouldnt we listen to them instead of trying to twist everything they've said, if it hurts them just acknowledge that and do your best to understand instead of fighting it. Most of us in here are not Native American but shortkinghimbo is indigenous
