Hello Prime Bimbo Cherri

I have yet to hear of any targets set by your government for its term in power.

For clarity can you confirm the targets set by your administration with regards to the following

a) Number of new clothes in the shops?
b) Number of new Ximbos immigrating to Ximboland?
c) Number of posts in the Town Square?
d) Number of senators?

Hi SweetasNuts - lets take a look at my manifesto and translate it into actual numbers. But first, I'd like to address that as my term is now shorter than other PB terms, it is difficult to compare numbers to past terms and be able to get accurate metrics.

a) Number of new clothes in the shops?
This is my biggest goal for the site. I believe that with a high number of clothes, the rest of the points will increase by themselves. In my manifesto I detail that I would like to employ more shop workers, this way, the backlog of designed items can be worked through. Are you going to help me with this? My hope is to have 3,000 clothes added to the shop during my term, however, not having ever been a part of the shop, I have no idea if this is reachable. I think with added shop workers, the goal is definitely more attainable than how it is now. I based this number on past PB terms, some have reached 8,000, others are at 0, so as it fluctuates so much, I really can't give a confident answer. But I am confident that the more shop worker we have the higher this number goes. Shop workers/item managers are people that I do not have the power to appoint, you do. So with you permission, we can have the shop numbers increase drastically.

b) Number of new Ximbos immigrating to Ximboland?
Once my MoFA has been appointed (deadlines for applications this Friday) hopefully this should increase immigrating ximbos. My goal is 5,500. However, with alts now being allowed, this metric is no longer accurate, and we wont be able to tell who are new players and who are just alts.

c) Number of posts in the Town Square
Currently I am on track to having 30k forum posts by the end of my term.

d) Number of senators?
Once the site has received updates to make senatorship more appealing, such as a player home update, and the shops having more uploads, senatorship should increase in turn. I believe the senator count usually sits at around 80-90 and we are sat at 108 right now, so it has already increased. I think with the proposed updates in my manifesto that was voted in by the player base, that number will increase dramatically.

What exactly are you going to do to achieve this goal and increase the number of added items to the shop?
I can only talk on my behalf, but as a shop worker, I do this only for the players and community; not to increase PBs stats or give PB credit for something that they don't do. Shop stats on government page are irrelevant as long as shop working and designing are volunteer based and in reality have nothing to do with what PB or Chris wish.

Chris, you should not ask this goal from PB as it is not for PB to decide what and how much volunteered people do, no matter how many volunteers there are. Volunteers (shop workers and designers) are not getting paid in real currency, this is not a real job, we do our best with the spare time we have from our real lives and jobs, but there should be no obligations or goals set by someone else. And no, getting little BL currency every now and then is not equivalent to being paid and being expected to really "work" on these goals.

Dear SweetAsNuts,

If I may, could you please, seriously, please take care of the people here.

There are REAL people with REAL lives here in Ximboland.

Please stop paying people with PeaNUTS.

Please stop making Ximboland as your SWEATshop.

-

Dear TokiKonoe, I am devastated to hear this. Lots of things are covered up in Ximboland by SweetasNuts and I wonder why.

It is only when you and others speak up freely, that we know the truth, just like your post.

You, the other shop workers and designers are doing lots of hard work but paid with digital currency which cannot be used to pay rent, food and other REAL LIFE necessities yet still being pushed by SweetAsNuts to do real life work and more.

This is just SLAVE LABOR (labor which is coerced and inadequately rewarded)

Turning a passion and something shop workers, designers and other volunteers enjoy in their free moments for SweetAsNut's own REAL LIFE profits.

This is not about role play anymore. This is about REAL LIFE.

-

Also, I am upholding my right to speak freely in the Xemocracy Arena.

If I suddenly disappear, you all know it is because they are trying to silence me.

Thank you and please do take care. ♥️

One of my goals in my manifesto to help increase the flow of designs being uploaded and help with the backlog of clothes was to get more item managers added. We now have Pollyx as a shop worker to help you out, big congrats to them and thank you for volunteering <3
I raised this issue with admins and suggested Polly as a good candidate to help out, they were added the same day. I’m happy to help out in other ways as well if you think there is something I could do for you Toki <3

Thank you, Rei <3. Don't worry, it's been public information for years that shopwork and designing are based on volunteering. Even though the rewards are not in line with the amount of work we put in, we keep doing it for the love for fashion and community. It is also rewarding to see new designs in use <3

While I like that the shop stats are visible, they cannot be used to measure government's success as the work is done independently of the government.

I think a reality check is needed here. It's absurd that Chris is asking for these numbers from PB and trying to set goals that are based on unpaid work; there can be no real expectations and the performance won't depend of the government in power. Please, do not take these peoples work and time as granted.

Bxdcherri, thank you for your offer. Having Pollyx with us is really helpful and they are doing amazing already. All I'm asking is to not to take these volunteers as granted and set goals on their behalf.
Chris, please, do not put PBs into position to set goals for people as long as you don't pay them a cent. And don't use "added items" stats to measure governments success. They have plenty of other ways to show how they will do.

Sorry if I am speaking out of place but I think there is nothing wrong with setting a goal for shop items added and here’s why:

Yes it is a goal for the PB to set but what is the harm in not reaching it? As Cherri mentioned, some PB’s had thousands of items uploaded during their terms and others had absolutely nothing. But if the goal is not met, there is no punishment. It’s not like the PB will lose payment or the shop workers will automatically be demoted if less items were added - it simply means the goal was not met.

The PB has very little impact on how many shop items are uploaded - that is why we don’t hold it against past PBs when zero items are uploaded because it is not really their fault. in fact, every freeze on the shop uploads that i can recall were a result of Chris “SweetAsNuts” meddling - NOT the players (who are pretty much always begging to design and upload new clothes). PB’s have little impact on the coding of the site as well, so we dont hold it against them if no new features were added during their term. It is simply a bonus if these things do happen.

Personally I don’t care what Chris thinks was a “successful” term. He’s looking at it from a business perspective - how much has the site grown so advertisements can sell for more etc. I don’t think ANY players give a shit about those metrics tbh… how many forum posts, how many new players blah blah blah. What i care about is my day to day experience playing the game. Are the forums fun? Are the new clothes cute? These are not metrics that can be quantified on a government stats page but they do hold a lot of weight for players judgement of a PB and the state of the site. I won’t even get to the pointlessness of quantifying forum posts when there’s threads of people counting up and down and just typing “F”.

That being said, I think being goal oriented does help us move forward. Because of this shop upload goal, a new shop worker was added! You don’t always have to achieve a goal - sometimes it’s good enough to just take some steps forward. Having the goal helps put the steps into perspective, though.

I would really like to thank TokiKonoe for the years of hard work she has put into the shop, she has been a shop worker for as long as I can remember. I think the real crime here is that y’all are making goals for her and the other shop workers, yet they have gone so grossly uncompensated for all the very real work they have done building THE backbone aspect of this game - the fashion. After all, would be playing this game if there wasn’t a cute doll to dress up?

Art is normally something you have to pay good money for - but I can tell that Chris “SweetAsNuts” doesn’t like doing that, though, since all the new site updates use generic clipart when you could easily hire someone on Fiverrr to match our art style for new graphics.

I don’t really have a conclusion so I just want to say THANK YOU to the shop workers for constantly breathing life into this site, THANK YOU to the PB for listening to our opinions and acting on them THANK YOU to the coders for adding new features and THANK YOU to all wonderful ximbos who make this site a fun place to visit and spend my time ❤️

I disagree with this. The PX has full power to appoint as many shop workers as they wish

Yes and I am going to send these real people real money at the end of their term.
So I am wanting to know what they are doing to earn that money.
That is called holding the government to account - you should try it.

Have you ever spent any money on senatorship? If so then some of  that is going to Cherri in May.
Dont  you want to know what shes doing to earn that money?

Don't you want  to know how she will spend her time?
Dont you want to know how she will improve Ximboland for future generations?
I do and its my job to hold her to account. I suggest you do the same instead of being so ignorant to whats going on

Why not? If she appoints more shop workers she will get more done.
And thanks very much for your great designs and hard work. It must pain you when you see your fashion not respected and thrown together in an ugly manner. Dont worry I will stand up for your work and for  fashion
