My boyfriend has a lovely personality, and he's tall and I think quite handsome. He also comes from a well-to-do background.
So it all sounds very good, but the problem for me is that he's a few years younger than me...which at my age (23), matters quite a bit. We're still finding ourselves and I'm not really sure if we're going to end up together, because sometimes I think he's too young to seriously consider things like marriage. I worry that I'm just a passing experience for him, although he would never say it if that's the case. So maybe I feel that I need the security of also exploring other options. I think mostly we do have a good time with one another, but sometimes his immaturity also comes out in certain situations and it makes me question the stability of our relationship and whether I can accept it.
I know nobody's perfect, but I have found that this stability is something that's pretty important to me, and it's why I've always preferred older men. Straight up looks don't really matter that much to me, as long as I find them personally attractive overall.

You know i always dated older? because of this stability thing... i found more comfort and safety with older men than guys my age. I guess dating that Canadian who ghosted me after 5 years didn't help either :-/. You know what happened? I married someone 1 year older which for me was very young, and it didn't work out at all. I kinda looked back and told myself the older options were better. Now I'm marrying, yet again, someone just 1 year older than me but he comes from a very good family who doesnt know what divorce is. He's been trying to gently steer me in the family direction - he really wants kids. It gives me a sense of stability, you know? like this is it.. and he's the type of guy that looks at me like he's witnessing something magical, which never happened to me before. Hun you need to look for that, the guy that looks at you like he's mesmerized, like he's asking himself "how did i land this one?!" .
Some people will jump to say you're too young at 23 to think of stability and the future. Imo...you're never too young... i feel like i was 23 yesterday, time flies and i regret wasting myself on men who never meant anything and who left scars. Besides Nat... usually guys who have no experience with women tend to have wandering eyes because they're curious. I'm not saying he will cheat or leave you but i think on long term these relationships rarely work nowadays because there's so many options, so much information, so many opportunities of meeting other people.
I think you should stay if you feel good, when you wont find your place by his side anymore then it will be easy for u to leave him, like disposing of a pair of pants that no longer fit - no regrets.
