Hello hello, everyone! Happy December and Happy Holidays!
I’ve just started my first term as SM of Antitheocra and I thought it would be fun to have a creativity / activity challenge that site users (all states) can participate in throughout the month! For those dealing with snow, rain, or excessive cloud-cover right now, bad weather can impact mental health, whether that’s through SAD or just a general moodiness. Either way, I’m hoping that trying new things and having fun surprises to look forward to will lift everyone’s spirits and get the forum active ♥
This is a challenge, not a contest, so the quality of what you contribute doesn’t matter! Citizens from all states are welcome to participate, and there will be rewards! :D
Rules:
❆ Every other day around the time of the time switch (starting today, Dec. 3rd, but usually being posted right before even-numbered days), I will post three prompts!
❆ Of these prompts, you can choose ONE of the three to do.
❆ You must post your entry before the time switch into the next EVEN-numbered day. I may post the next prompts earlier so I have some flexibility, but you can post the previous prompts up until the time switch into the next EVEN-numbered day. I will remind you of this every time I post prompts!
❆ One of the prompts will always be an outfit prompt, so if that’s how you want to be creative, feel free to do that for the whole challenge if you want! Shop screenshots will be fine for the outfit prompts for everyone, no matter your level. This is to try new things out, not to break the bank!
❆ Most of the prompts will require or specify some kind of “proof”, ranging from a photo to a piece of artwork to some kind of writing or description. Read the prompt to see what you need to post for your entry to count!
❆ AI-generated work is not acceptable for any of the prompts, please make it your own work. Do not steal photos or writing from the internet, either—I will be checking!
Rewards:
❆ If you complete at least 7 days of the challenge (but not all) you will receive a reward! (TBD for the sake of surprise)
❆ If you complete ALL of the days of the challenge, you will receive a larger reward!! (TBD for the sake of surprise)
❆ Everyone who completes at least 3 days of the challenge (but not 7 or above) will receive a small reward ♥
❆ If you somehow complete EVERY prompt from EVERY day you will receive some kind of crazy reward, but I don’t think anyone will do this ahaha. Otherwise, no extra rewards for completing multiple prompts from one post—all or nothing, baby!
Overall, have fun with this!! I have a huuuge range of prompts planned across tons of different types of arts, crafts, and activities, and some fun and silly Ximboland outfit prompts as well. I hope this gets you a little out of your comfort zone and having fun, trying out new things!!
Lots of love to you all, and here are the first three prompts (choose one)! You have until 12AM (midnight) Ximboland time on December 6th to post your response!
December 4th-5th:
1. Make a Ximbo outfit using all of the colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV)... but with at least two items per color! That means two red, two orange, two yellow, two green… and so on, for a total of at least 14 layers. Shop screenshots are 100% okay for this, no matter your level!
2. Try a new drink you’ve never tried before (matcha, kombucha, chai, eggnog, etc.) and report back with your thoughts (with a photo or sketch of the drink in question)! Will this become a new drink in rotation or is it not your thing? Please be respectful in case anyone is a big fan of that drink <3
3. Think of one of your favorite animals—now draw that animal without using any references or looking up photos. Don’t pick a different animal just so it will be easy! This is inspired by the “mind horse” trend and it will probably come out looking at least a little weird! This is normal and encouraged. Even a tiny doodle will work, but make sure to show us a picture!
