ive never heard of artbreeder, ill definitely check it out! i think ai can be useful for getting inspiration for projects, my issue just comes when ppl want to pass it off as a finished product. something that just creates concept art of sorts could be super useful and fun!

It's quite obvious AI art isn't organic, can't really get how it can pass like real art. Not only it's not real, it screams it's not real. Today there are so many ways and mediums to make real art so AI seems pointless :/

very true, honestly i feel like the only reason ppl are going so hard for it is bc it gets around having to pay a real artist :/ i feel like companies will start using them 2 make ads

Yes, I think it is a lot cheaper than paying a real artist.
Local artists sometimes display their art at our hospital. I sometimes look at them & think "that's nice" but then they cost $$$ (i.e. several hundred dollars or 3 figures). Some of these AI generators let you get prints of your work. So, someone could go on an AI art generator and design something & get it printed for a fraction of the price.
That said, I think there may be applications for AI art programs. It seems that there are different programs for different things. i.e. some take old, damaged photos and use the AI to try to restore them.

It’s impressive how far AI has come and I enjoy seeing its outputs. That being said, it should be disclosed as created by AI and not classified as traditional art.
big no no. It steals artists their work without permission and just mixes it with another pic... we should support real artists instead who spend days working on a piece!! I do understand that not everyone has the money to commission someone, but keep in mind there do still exist free options such as picrew!!
It could be used for cool stuff but people are using it for the wrong purposes and the people who use ai art usually discredit artists
