ai art, like any ai, can be used to enhance talent and abilities. i don't think it should be used on its own as it lacks any kind of emotion that art should have

I dont like it, the quality is questionable at best, with those weird skin and lighting that makes no sense, as a data it uses works of artist who didn't even agree to that, and its also used to generate illegal material. Also I saw people winning multiple contests with ai generated art and it hurts me, hope it gets legally restricted in near future
AI art is harmful when it's being used commercially and being used to push artists out of their jobs, but it can be a good tool to bounce ideas at it and gain inspiration to create your own work with, and sometimes it's just interesting to see what it can do, but I'm not a fan of posting the results anywhere outside of its own platform without the disclaimer that it was AI generated and/or passing it off as an original artwork

the only good ai art is dall-e mini that would just generate like 9 small pictures based on your prompt within a couple minutes. it was goofy and silly and just for fun.
real ai art is not only harmful to artists as other people have stated but it is incredibly energetically wasteful, as the generation of images takes a TON of cpu power, similar issues as crypto mining and nft transactions.

At best "Ai Art" is considered a tool. Something to help generate an idea for your next project or to help pinch in when you're stuck. Yes it is sad an angering that the way it functions is to steal art from humans, but there have to be some ethical ways of using it.
But I'll never agree that "Ai Art" is real art. Nor "Ai Art users" calling themselves "artists". If you want a drawing of (niche example) Shadow the Hedgehog having a picnic with Fluttershy, then draw it yourself. Can't draw? Then commission a real, human artist. There should be no excuses to use ai to generate "art" and to "claim it that you drew it" and that "it is real art".

its flooded everywhere now. it takes away from real and talented artists
as long as its not being sold as commission work, conning someone of their money there is no harm to play with it
