Just so you know, your case is not the worst lol I was blocked/unblocked 36 times in a row, there were 4 pages in my inbox with notifications. Not to mention pages and pages of more than 200 creepy comments. After I blocked back that acc. you won't believe it but IT STOPPED :) Miracle!
So yeah, blocking feature worked pretty nicely and served the purpose well :)

On another note, notifications can't create drama, they are not alive. People who receive them create drama. With or without notification players would acknowledge sooner or later that they have been blocked.

yeah same here, I blocked as soon as the spam started, is my block feature broken?? Thankfully they got bored after a little bit...  :/

Theoretically though, if you weren't told someone blocked you, how would you know the difference if they blocked you, or they just aren't usually online at the same time as you, or just don't really want to respond to you, but don't go so far as blocking you? I don't think you can conclusively say on sites like twitter/fb/ig/etc, unless the blocker literally makes a post saying 'i blocked x'. Like most of the people I've blocked on other sites are none the wiser because I just keep a low profile in general heh.

You would notice if you went to vote in a fight and it said that that one of the bimbos blocked you. But it does seem unnecessary to notify the person right away that they've been blocked. It allows for block/unblocking spam in the first place, which unless the two of us have bugged games, cannot be stopped by blocking the person back. A blocking system certainly is handy, but like everything in the world, it isn't perfect and I see no reason not to comment on issues with it.

LillyAnn, I don't see the need for the passive aggression in statements like:

So yeah, blocking feature worked pretty nicely and served the purpose well :)"

Nobody is disagreeing that the blocking system is useful, we're just commenting on flaws within it.

Yeah, I meant more like, you wouldn't notice unless/until you tried to interact with them directly. And even then, there are ways to circumvent it, like for example making it seem like you posted a comment/voted/etc. even if they have you blocked, but the comment/etc. never actually getting to the recipient and not showing on their page for others, or the vote not actually counting. Again, obviously a bit more complicated than just not hiding it, but there are sites that work along similar lines. But yeah a much more easy thing to implement would be to have blocking be quiet.

Like sure "People who receive them create drama", obviously the html text doesn't have feelings, but there's a difference between for example in real life, someone just quietly ghosting and avoiding you, versus someone coming up to your face and saying "I don't want you to talk to or interact with me, bye." I think the latter would be a little more impactful personally... ;P

And yet someone else might appreciate more straightforward way like 'I don't want to interact with you' over silent ghosting. Also, someone who blocked you did that because just ghosting doesn't work always. Even if they ignore you maybe you don't ignore them so instead of asking you 'can you please just ghost me' they hit the block button.
On other sites, social networks to be more precise, when someone block you or you block them you don't see anymore anything about each other. You can't see each other's profiles, pics or comments even if you talk in the same thread or share the group on fb, there are only left old inbox messages and that's all. That person just disappears from your sight.
Here it is different. Everyone still can see everything, only direct and personal contact is impossible. It would be really awkward if for example someone blocked you, you don't know about it, start chatting with that person in forum and only later realize they actually blocked you. 

Can you guys just live with it that someone blocked you? It's been for days already how you complain over 2 or 3 players blocking you, over notifications, even involve third parties in your drama and expect from them to contact players on your behalf. Haven't you have enough of it already?

LillyAnn, if you read my previous comments on this thread you would know that I already said I don't care about being blocked and that it is what it is. I was merely engaging in conversation about the blocking mechanics of the site and the way that the notifications seem to be bugged.

After all, it is a thread about blocking. If you do not wish for people to discuss the topic then perhaps close the thread.

Also at no point did I involve third parties or expect other players to contact in my so called "drama" about being blocked. If you have a problem with me personally then send me a message rather than falsely accuse me of things in the forum. The only person creating "drama" here is you.

Dude we're literally not complaining about getting blocked?? I don't care if people don't want to talk to me or really think I'm an alt account lmfao im just here to make cool outfits. We're discussing how other blocking systems work and the strengths and weaknesses between them. I think it'd be awkward either way if you blocked someone and they knew you blocked them, and they continued to talk/respond to you in forums, cuz there's nothing stopping that from happening. Either way, BLs system looks like it harks back from 2000s neopets era sites, so I know it's not like any of this is gonna be changed, but nothing wrong with just musing on theoretical changes.

Also LillyAnn please tell us, why did me and Hot Topica keep getting spam even when we blocked the other person, do you know?? You said that shouldn't happen.

Just for the record in case anyone else is reading this and thinks I'm some troll or whatever: I only tried to 'involve a 3rd party' 3 days ago in order to privately resolve issues and any potential drama, and try to 'correct their mistake' (blocker's words) because it seemed very obvious the blocker thought I had committed a foul. I never asked the other party for anything drastic and we ended the conversation on a happy note. I just couldn't talk to the blocker to give them their apparently desired 'proof' that I'm a real person, don't know how they expect people to prove things lmfao. I did it because I thought I'd make an effort to clear up what should be an easy to fix misunderstanding. 2 private messages was literally it, I have not said anything about it since, cuz yeah I had enough of it 3 days ago, so. I don't know why you feel the need to dredge that up here in a public forum discussion about blocking. That's a rhetorical question, let's let dead dogs lie.

Any Ximbo citizen can become Prime Ximbo using the democratic process. Its a 2 stage process from Senator>Prime Ximbo. All Ximbo xitizens can vote in general elections but in order to put themselves forward to become Prime Ximbo/a minister they must first become a Ximbo senator.

Can I become Prime Ximbo more than once?
Yes ­ a Ximbo can hold the position of Prime Ximbo for 6 terms max.

How often do elections take place?
The Fashionable Republic of Ximboland holds elections every 3 months for Prime Ximbo and every 3 months for State Ministers.
