I just hope thus person is not banned forever from them game. It would be very sad due to the fact how much dedication a person need to develop a script for such a not well-known game.
I suppose they should be banned just from duels.
Thanks for expressing your opinions. It will be considered.

i thought the same, it's like pinecone read our speculations and chose some of them as an explanation...

I'm gonna turn off my dumbass persona just for this court case. I wasn't sure if it was worth weighing in on this but here are my 2¢ on this:

It is 100% possible and quite frankly, really easy to bot in a browser game with some basic programming knowledge. There are free frameworks such as Selenium used for automation testing that can be used along with a browser driver like Chromedriver to automate web tasks that are too tedious for a human being. Combine that with the fact that you can just leave your computer running overnight and schedule jobs using the Windows or UNIX task schedulers, PCUMA could have feasibly automated their duels and fights without much effort.

I also took a look at Katie's stats and they are rock solid. Near perfect logins to claim duels which I can't imagine any human being doing.

Now knowing this, which of the following scenarios makes more sense: Pinecone has a friend actively dueling for them every night without fail for 2 uninterrupted years and filling up on diamonds to what amounts to the price of a used car. Or Pinecone is using a free and widely-available web automation framework to write a basic script and schedules it to run without a problem.

I wanna also second what peeslurper said where we can't comment on the accused person having some kind of sleep or obsessive disorder. We can't read Pinecone's mind and honestly, it's super gross and invasive to comment on the mental health or disorders of others unprompted.

But my point still stands that it's way more likely that Pinecone is scripting than getting a friend to boost their account and spend god knows how much money on diamonds.

So yeah, I'm going with guilty. Props to Katie for doing her homework and compiling the evidence.

I agree with your thoughts, scacey and vilevulgar. Is there any way to prove anything that you, Pinecone, have stated?

My next thought is what an appropriate punishment is?
I have never been here for another court case so i am unaware of who decides on this.
But it seems a lot of people dont want pcuma be banned. Most of the focus and care is about the duels here, not how the diamonds were used. Is something like just vowing to not duel for X amount of time? (easily checkable since it is displayed on our profile) Or is something actually limiting her more appropriate?
Banning her from duels wont limit her ability to contribute to fashion contests and making outfits. Which from my understanding is something people enjoy seeing.

ive been watching this thread for days and i've gotta say that, respectfully, pinecone's explanation is frankly absurd to me - there's absolutely no way they haven't been using an automated program based on the data shown, its too precise and consistent to be human. they never missed a duel every 30 minutes for months at a time, and maybe kept this up for years? even with an alarm that is just ludicrous.

i dont know what punishment they deserve for this, but theyve definitely cheated and abused the game and have stolen prizes from players (like purple said in this thread) who are actually committed to trying to beat them, which they never could have, and now (if i'm correct) they have lied to everyone about doing so. they've made others waste diamonds and plenty of time on an impossible task, and for that they definitely deserve some kind of punishment. even if somehow this is all false on my part, they have openly admitted to breaking another rule - i'm fairly new here so i don't know how situations like this are resolved, but i liked the idea of a diamond debt of some kind, but thats just my input! :)

Even if PCUMA isn't banned their reputation is forever tarnished if they are found guilty. Innocent until proven guilty I suppose, but most people had made up their minds even before they stated their side of the story. The perfection of dueling every 30 minutes would have some human error if done by a real person even if they set alarms. There would have to be a slip up at some point. I see no other choice but to vote guilty.

I think Pinecone’s account should be deleted, but she shouldn’t be banned.

The account she is using is a very high ranking one and she got that rank with illegitimate means. Whether or not she used a bot, she has admitted to breaking the rule of one account per person and used that rule break to her gross advantage for years.

I think her account needs to be closed. If she wants to remake and start fresh without breaking the rules, it’s up to her. But allowing her to keep the account open, after the legwork of cheating her way to the top for years is done… it feels wrong.

I don’t see what difference it makes whether someone cheats with a second player or with a bot. Cheating is cheating. In Las Vegas, you can get kicked out of a casino just for counting cards, never mind actual cheating with technology or an accomplice.

In this case, I don't know exactly what consequences should follow. But I do know that the rules should apply equally to everyone, regardless of how long they’ve been here or how stylish their wardrobe looks.

would banning ultimately be effective though? what would keep her from making another account? unless XL bans IP addresses. (i'm unfamiliar with how this stuff works so pardon me if i don't understand!) but i agree, pinecone's reputation is certainly tarnished. at the end of the day, even IF what she says is true, we can't overlook more than one person operating the account which we have established already to be against the rules. i'm not against banning or stripping of trophies or diamond debt. i definitely think there should be repercussions for what she's done. but i am concerned on how this can be prevented, whether it's by pinecone or another user in the future (god forbid we find ourselves in a situation like this again.)

i've gained a lot of perspective watching this thread and seeing what everyone has to say. it's clear by the passion and how candidly people have spoken that a punishment is in order. i respect how seriously this has been taken and am thankful for the opportunity to voice what i have to say, even if it doesn't mean much in the big picture.

as for the mental health angle, i am firmly of the belief and in agreement that it isn't our place to speculate about what disorders pinecone may or may not have. it is deeply invasive. and for the record, while i am not as high ranking as pinecone, i do have some serious mental illnesses that manifest in lack of sleep and i have never come close to ranking higher than maybe the 40s in duels, if it means anything to anyone.

i'm going to trust that this community will be done right by whatever comes out of this trial, and all things considered i vote guilty. thanks for reading if you made it this far.
