I agree with that. Involving talk about various disorders, insomnia, etc. in topics like this is kinda touchy. We are not really qualified to examine someone's mental health neither it's the topic or an excuse here so I would rather avoid it.

Someone has mentioned banning - the player is informed I would really like to avoid banning them but they should come out and say something. Guess that's the bare minimum they could offer to the players who have been affected by their cheating.

having a mental illness simply cannot be made as an excuse. the numbers are laid out perfectly and katie did a wonderful job at that. and even if its not specifically in the rules that does not make it okay or give it a pass. unless pcuma is killing themselves with zero sleep for an online game i see a clear sign of cheating and exploiting.

edit: in response to LA’s previous post, i have always had issues with sleeping and when i first joined this game i would stay up all night doing duels and the highest rank i would get would be 70’s. maybe thats because of the clear exploitation of the duels or i just wasnt getting the duels i needed. but its clear im not the only one who’s had issues with this.

Unfortunately it seems as though PCUMA has been using some sort of automated system dueling, which not only makes it hard for those who aren’t spenders/play recreationally, but also hinders the people that spend resources to try to fight against a machine. I would be happy to hear an explanation from Pinecone, but it’s not looking good. However I am unsure that a permaban is an appropriate measure against something like this, but can’t currently come up with a better solution. If it’s all about fairness then there is nothing a human that sleeps can do vs a scheduled machine.

Edit: saw that permaban has already been discussed, and I also want to add that during my most active time, I’ve gotten down to 60 on duels with a regular sleeping schedule

I think it’s also important to note the amount of diamonds Pinecone was taking. Just duel winnings alone would easily be over 30,000 diamonds and 50,000 SA that were gotten for free, with no effort. That doesn’t count whatever was “earned” from being weekly leader or actually spinning the wheel.

All those diamonds could then be used to boost other stats, causing more unfair advantage like a ripple effect.

And one of the things that make BL enjoyable for everyone is that everyone is kind of on the same level playing field, so this directly makes it impossible to happen

Speaking of leveling up... It's really hard to level up after hitting level 150-170. It's hard even for senators who can work for 8 hours. For non-senators it's two times harder and costs more. Canceling 4hrs of work 2 times costs more and takes more time than canceling 8hrs of work. Beside that senators spend less energy for doing activities. It means non-senators need to refill energy more often. All together it takes more time and obviously more Ds. Yet we have a player who is not a senator, at least hasn't been one for months, who leveled up the most in a very short time. Same kind of script that works for duels can work for other activities as well.

Hello,
As someone with OCD I wanted to weigh in on this conversation because it was thrown out v half-hazardly that PCUMA might have OCD. This game is an obsession for me and I can say the most duels I've ever done was 250 in one total week and I didn't even get close to the leaderboards. The excuse of PCUMA having OCD is total bullshit and frames people like me with OCD in a bad light.
Thank you for your time.
A fair point. Suggesting that an anomaly which very much seems to be a running clickbot script might perhaps be neurodivergent behaviour is a bit insulting for many people here, even.

hi, just weighing in as someone with a few of the monthly duel trophies!!

I'm regularly in the top 10 for the monthly rank. This means that I'm taking almost all of my duels while I'm awake on days off + spending my work breaks taking duels + taking my duels every time I wake up to go to the bathroom at night. With all of that effort, no diamonds spent, I was only able snag a 3rd place trophy. I have one 1st place trophy from last month that I spent about 10k diamonds to get (which was basically all the diamonds I'd saved up in the last 10 months).

I love the duels. I think the trophies are an awesome motivator for players to take their duels, and the rewards from each duel they win add up overtime. Unfortunately, I think PCUMA's spot at the top for two years is extremely discouraging to players who would like to get a trophy because it has meant there are really only 2 trophies that people have a shot at each month unless they want to spend thousands upon thousands of diamonds.

My main question is why would PCUMA be willing to do that to all other duelers? I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I am hopeful that they will offer an explanation, but without one it does come across as unsportsmanlike and inconsiderate of others trying to play the game.

Nothing. Their choice. There will be consequences anyway. They were offered to come clean and lessen the punishment so it's up to them. They were active today, posted in another thread, played a couple of duels and went inactive since then.

There are proofs and that's all what is needed.

I recently came back from a break this month and have been heavily focusing my time on duels, think this is an appropriate place to share my experience with the dueling system as of late. For the past two weeks (not this week) my main goal was to get high up on the duel leaderboard which, quite frankly, I've been finding impossible to do. I'm allowed on my phone at work, so there was no real point I was unable to go on bimboland and quickly do my duels. I'm someone who is always sat at their computer etc, usually with ximboland tab open on my second monitor, sometimes just watching the timer go down. Needless to say, I was doing A LOT of duels. Or at least it felt that way.

By the end of the second week I decided not to do it this week because I wasn't getting past 30th place, even from starting at 12am bimbo time and only breaking for 8 hours of sleep. Realistically, I couldn't hop on every hour but I was damn near close. It was incredibly demotivating, and I came to the conclusion it was because I would RARELY get anyone offering more than 20 cups per duel and because i cant challenge higher than intermediate. I don't know how the pairing system for duels work and if it was because of that or just straight bad luck.

Anyway, having spent the last two weeks trying genuinely hard to get high up on the leaderboard only to find that people are cheating to do it, is really, really upsetting. Saying all that though - did PCUMA realize the effect their botting would cause? I've used auto-clickers on multiple different games before and probably would have on this site if I could've implemented it correctly, though honestly that's never crossed my mind - this isn't RuneScape lmao. Like others have said, banning is too far. What genuinely could've been an innocent mistake has had such a ripple effect that they may never have realized, and will most likely want to stop straight away. I believe it is botting - being autistic myself I truly know how things can turn into obsessions and I do believe PCUMA could've been setting alarms even through their sleep schedule, but not for this extended period of time.

I think a fair punishment (if possible) would be to revoke all past trophies, they weren't truly won and don't deserved to be showcased. Personally I would put them into Diamond debt, though I'm not sure if that's possible and it may stop them from playing all together, which then may as well be a ban.
Is it also worth thinking about why this took so long to come to light? It could've been stopped way earlier on, with people getting the rewards that have been essentially stolen from, if duels were moderated? Could I ask what systems are in place to catch out cheaters and stop things like this, or what may now be implemented to stop this from happening again?
