Okay, so I was a black himbo, and I just changed a few days ago to a white bimbo, I am white in real life.

When I first signed up I just chose a charachter I liked without really thinking about it, I also didn't think I would be playing this game so much at that time, let alone interact with other players, as this is something I never do normally. So this turned out differently and I started to feel very uncomfortable about that, so I'm glad I changed. (I never posted in poc threads or something, that would be worse ^^)

this is an interesting topic that i have also thought about!

i feel like it's maybe preferable to change skin tone in a cosplay, because if you make a black character white wouldn't that be even more harmful (white washing)? making your normal character black if you aren't black feels kinda iffy though...

I think it depends on how you do it; if your character is supposed to represent YOU and all the outfits are supposed to be you, then yeah that’s definitely a little racist and probably blackface, but if your avatar is not you (basically just a character that you made) then i think its fine (its like 7 am and i just woke up so if i dont make sense im sorry)

Its just unnecessary. if you yourself arent that race just don't do it, a character should be easily recognizable enough by their attire.

Starting on Bimboland? Unfortunately, it has been going on for quiet a while now since the game went viral on Tumblr. Some people tend to forget that politics on that website are not taken seriously in real life or on other places of the internet. These are the same people who assume everyone who has a single look of a white bimbo is white, but will also try to get you banned if you assume someone playing with a bimbo instead of a himbo while having a female username is a woman  Let them have their melties tho, that's all they know how do to.

Luckly, it's a 2D dress up game, not real life.

Most of the time, the only reason anyone would be angry is if you're being hateful or actively discriminating against a certain group of people. Your avatar is just that, an avatar. It's not a person, it doesn't have any personal beliefs, it's literally just pixels on a screen and no one would know who's behind that screen unless you tell them.

I've made black characters in the Sims, but I am not black, does that make me racist? No, because black people exist and unless you're fetishizing them, what difference does it make whether the skin color of a doll online is black or white or purple? You have people on here literally dressed up like cows, is it wrong of them to do that because they're not cows in real life?

If you were actively cosplaying in a real life scenario, I'd personally find it kind of racist if you painted your skin black to cosplay a black character (that's just my opinion, there are plenty of people out there who would disagree). But this isn't real life, you're not going to extremes to change your skin color, it's doll. Its skin color can be changed with a click of a button, anyone who has an issue with switching the skin color of a literal nonexistent piece of art on a website has deeper issues.

u cant be racist towards white ppl number 1, Mexican people are not just one skin tone there are pale Mexican ppl everywhere so idk what ur talking about, third take a history class, you wanna be Hispanic so bad and it will never happen so keep dreaming and stay in school. LOVE YA xoxo
It's funny you think you know all about people you find online! I certainly don't claim to know a single thing about your life. Except this: YOU WEREN'T educated enough. Very cute. Your mom and dad taught you that you have some kind of special privilege over anything YOU don't like. Also, I was in 3rd grade 15 years before you were even born (probably) Gen Z are so coddled, only your feelings matter right? So, you are a person who I'm assuming wasn't kept in captivity and were not being segregated against. Am I correct? Why don't you ask those who lived in those times how racism worked outside of some comments here and there that you may have heard. My great grandfather was a Cherokee that's a Native American If you weren't taught this in school! He was made to sign Dawe's Rolls and was practically dragged like a bag of trash on the Trail of Tears... Do you have any idea about that? I'm sure you don't and neither do I aside from stories passed down. So I don't go around claiming racism. I'm actually a Native American mixed with Scottish. I was also related to the Sawney Bean Clan, those people were cannibals. Cannibals. Remember that. I don't think I could EVER claim to understand what my Ancestors went through. The point is. We are all people and in this day and age you wouldn't think that people (Whatever race they are) would even resort back to being racist.. now against anyone who doesn't march with you. You think everyone is trying to shit on your culture... but some people love to immerse themselves in other cultures and learn more. Is there something wrong with that? I think there was not much reading done in your time. Also, I think I know enough to be able to tell a light skinned Mexican and darker skinned Mexican. Are you the idiot? or Am I? Honestly, I don't  care what you think and you shouldn't care what I think and just act like a loving humans instead of spreading victim mentality. Like I said earlier, Go on, Git!!

Just wait till you get out of your 20s and regret all the times you were a jerk to those you thought were below you.

I really hope you learn how to love everyone and believe in more important things, besides finding ways to make yourself a victim.

Goodbye! <3
i get what you're trying to say but i feel like when it comes to mexican culture thats for mexican people to decide what is appropriate and what isnt. i know you probably have good intentions but the rudeness and tone of this response is disappointing to see come from a forum moderator.
