random but Tiktok is becoming toxic i feel like most people are chronically online and im starting to see the serious shift in generations and the effect the pandemic has had on younger peoples social awareness and social skills. Spooky

Most toxic people are people seeking attention, negative or positive. My sister is one of those types of people, she would do awful stuff just for attention.
Apparently according to studies, people have been becoming more entitled and narcissistic as time goes on. I feel like due to lack of social interactions and decent manners, people don’t know how to properly respond to negativity.
That’s just my two cents tho lol
I agree, I feel the same way. But not just for TikTok but for every social media It's like we are addicted to them and we can't live a day without going on them. I feel like if it wasn't this toxic it wouldn't be that much of a problem but it is.... especially for the younger generations like you said I hope this going to get better even if I think it's not.

I tend to use Twitter and Instagram but I don’t interact with people a ton - although I’ve never been personally affected by people via the internet. But I know that cyber bullying can affect other people pretty badly. I was harassed on Twitter for probably a good two days over some silly drama I was involved in that got me in two reaction videos and a lot of hate comments.

Since social media has given us a lot of anonymity, people use that as a safe shield to use to let out their anger and jealousy (along with other stuff but I’m not a psychology major lol)
Its real interesting and sad to see people socially evolve as this, especially since a lot of younger people such as myself have grown up with only the internet and have probably been exposed to a lot of weird stuff because of that.
