Thank you, friend~ Hopefully the folks who can repair will be here Monday. They had to cancel yesterday due to our whole road being unreachable orz, but at least it's been warmer lol. These space heaters pull well above their load.

I do! Two decently chunky ones, too~ my s/o's mother lent them to us. They're like the ones that look like whole boxes with a rectangular vent on the front and the controls beneath. We also bought a Hyper Tough utility heater, and that's good enough to keep our toes warm in the living room.
Sooooo, I kinda just wanna vent about something.
My mom is my best friend I love her so much and we have a great relationship. But she kinda hurt my feelings and I can't let it go completely.
So I have tics related to my adhd and anxiety and so I have these tics moving my neck and upper body in a very drastic movement. So my mom was in a bad mood over something not related to me and asked for help and then I got anxious because I knew she was in a bad mood and sometimes she just trigger my mood swings when she also has them lol
But yeah I had a tic and she started berating me and saying how I make it up and need to stop because I look stupid.
I can't control them, a tic is not something you can control, you can feel it coming but it's really hard controlling tics, when being focused it can compress them and like I said mine mostly occur when I'm anxious, nervous or cold for some odd reason.
But yeah I just felt I needed to vent a bit, I hope you guys have a nice week ^-^

oh gosh, im so sorry to hear that... i cant believe someone would beat you for a tic you can't control? if you ever need anyone to talk to im here. i just started recently but i just want you to know that you arent alone!
yeah that's horrible :( if you could just control it why would you do it in the first place .. seems like she has a fundamental misunderstanding of what tics even are. i'm sorry she made you feel bad for it

Vicy, you say your mom is your best friend and you have a great relationship and so I imagine she knows that she was wrong when she lashed out at you. Sadly we often lash out at those closest to us when stressed but that shouldn’t excuse us from doing so. You shouldn’t feel bad for her actions or dwell on things she said and likely didn’t mean. She is your mother and your best friend and i guess she is probably also your greatest support and so you need to understand each other. If what she said is playing on your mind then perhaps consider kindly letting her know how she made you feel, by speaking to her, or writing to her. Take care xx

Sorry English is my second language and I might have miss wrote, my mom would never lay her hands on me. My father was abusive and she saved us her kids and left him and been the best single mother you can ask for I think that's why it hits me harder when she hurts my feelings because I'm used to my father hurting me in my past but not her because she was always our safe haven. I talked with my best friend today that also struggle with tics but more severe and she made me feel so much better about the situation it really helps knowing someone who just understands ^^
