Next Big Bimbo Top Race | S01E04 - The Drama Queen
Since you all already made a good drama, it's time for our next maxi-chalenge, which is... A Theater Inspired look! You can draw inspiration from Shakespeare, from the Opera and Broadway's Musicals to create a single, drama filled look!
Oh, and I almost forgot... There IS a catch indeed! You need to introduce yourself in a very poetic way, doing some good rhymes that displays who you really are! This might look simple at first sight, but with almost no boundaries, our imagination could fly... Or sink! So, be aware that this is the time to bring your A-Game!

--I've decided to portrait an Italian opera, Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini. So here's my entry in this week:
*light changes, a Japanese background is set, Hayden comes in a full geisha outfit to perform the most known song from this opera "Un bel dì vedremo"*
*after singing the song, she declaims a poem by Hugh Wyles that tells the opera story*
"Cio Cio San, a young Geisha, fell in love with Pinkerton,
a lieutenant in the US Navy’s cause.
He professed his love for her and, as he was no simpleton,
took advantage of Japan’s strange marriage laws.
He engaged a marriage-broker, though the US Consul warned
that he should not trifle with the girl’s affections.
Cio Cio San forsook her family, her religion even scorned,
and was ostracized by all for her defections.
Her faithful maid Suzuki was the only one who stayed
when the wedding was disrupted by the Bonze.
He cursed her and renounced her as a now dishonored maid
who’d rejected all her former pros and cons.
Well, Pinkerton was angry and he ordered them away
and when night fell he exerted all his charms.
Butterfly dried off her tears and under love’s persuasive sway
sang a love duet enfolded in his arms.
In time her husband sailed away but vowed he would return.
Eventually she bore his little son.
Three long years passed, each counted, but she never ceased to yearn
for his coming - and of suitors would have none.
All the others called her foolish, doubted that he would come back.
“One fine day he’ll come” she often used to say.
Though short of money, Faith was one thing that she did not lack.
She sent wealthy suitors scornfully away.
When the US Consul, Sharpless, came with letter in his hand
to forewarn her that ‘her man’ had a new wife,
she kept interrupting him and told him he must understand
no way would she resume her former life.
To justify her faith it seems, in Nagasaki Port,
the ‘Abraham Lincoln’ anchors at its station.
Poor Butterfly at once prepares without a second thought
to welcome him without recrimination.
With Suzuki scattering flowers, they then settle down to stay,
waiting…..Night comes and Puccini sets before us
a wonderful scenario: as night turns into day,
distant voices, soft, intone a humming chorus.
As dawn breaks, weary Butterfly at last falls fast asleep.
Pinkerton and Sharpless come into the garden
and inform Suzuki that the boy, Kate Pinkerton will keep,
that their destitute position may not harden.
Mister Pinkerton then leaves, quite crushed with pity and remorse,
while his wife and Sharpless with Suzuki plead.
She must break the news to Butterfly, consent obtain of course;
they will grant the lad his every want and need.
Butterfly awakes, surprises them and, icy, remains calm
as the situation dawns on her at last.
She agrees that Pinkerton may have his son to keep from harm
if he will return before a half hour’s passed.
She then retires and, weeping, tells Suzuki “Close all doors!
I cannot bear the laughing Spring outside.
Bring me my son!” and, as Suzuki quietly withdraws,
she takes her father’s sword out from its hide.
“DEATH WITH HONOR IS PREFERRED TO A DISHONORABLE LIFE.”
This message on it’s sharp blade is engraved.
She holds her son and tells him to remember this poor wife
who dies now that he might, in turn, be saved.
So saying, she sets him up to play and goes behind a screen;
the sword is heard to fall, she staggers dying, to the child.
Pinkerton calls out and rushes in to close the scene
with cries of grief and lamentation wild."
