I've only been diagnosed since I was like 21 and never would of been if my ex didn't point out that I should get tested
Since then if I've tried to pass that on by talking openly about what it's like living with it, and now a close friend and my mrs has gotten diagnosed

There are different types of ADHD. Many people also develop coping skills.
Personally, I was always good in school & functions at work, even when not on stimulants. I am very restless. I also have impulsive symptoms, like I used to call-out during classes. But I can still do what I need to for school or work.

i honestly thought i had BPD for the longest time or was presenting early signs when i was a younger teen, then went to therapy a few years ago and had tests done. as of NOW, i’m diagnosed with adhd instead. i don’t really deal with a lot of the hyperactive symptoms but i do have strong mood issues and poor executive functions. by far one of the hardest things to deal with is the emotional dysregulation. it’s extremely painful for me and confusing to those around me when something small or something they don’t even realize they’re doing makes me feel more intensely than it should. i definitely have coping strategies in place these days but when i didn’t i was a total asshole + self destructed a lot. and despite being able to deal with it appropriately for the most part now, it still feels hella embarrassing to have to leave the room and take a moment when you’re just having a regular conversation or doing a regular task lol
i have adhd and also t1d and they rlly mess with eachother :') but everyone around me is audhd n i love it!! go all of us <333
