well i'm not the moj and i don't speak for him but in my opinion there's
nothing wrong with reclaiming a slur for personal use. if they went
around using it against other people, that would obviously be a
violation. but if they are using it only to self-identify, then policing it

As a rule of thumb, I think court cases should not be opened. (The outcome, whether desirable to you or not, should be the final conclusion.) That is of course, EXCEPT in a situation where
- There was demonstrable unfairness in the voting (several alts of the accused voting for "innocent", for instance)
- The system malfunctioned and people were unable to participate as expected
- Something new and notable is discovered about the evidence that was presented
Based on what Halobear said on page 8, there might therefore be a reason for one of the cases to be opened - but I don't know enough the details personally to really have an opinion on these case specifically. So, this is more of a general observation
Of course, that is NOT to say that a person put to trial in BL should never be tried again after being once found not guilty. But if they are tried again, it should be with new (as in, not used in the previous trial, not necessarily recently posted) evidence in a new trial, with the previous trial as a sidenote if that.
