The thing about the name was a joke, no hard feelings :)

The easiest way, upload on google drive or dropbox and send me link in PM.
"you must submit the files you worked in" - that refers to original format with layers that are not merged down, .psd, .xcf, etc. Ofc, some works that are simpler will have only one layer, that's not the issue. But other type of work that is more complex like a dress or hair for instance probably is going to have more layers.

p.s. Sorry about late reply, I was away from the forum for a whole day almost. But Anthalaya was helpful :)

No worries, I just woke up from a nap haha

And oh a joke???

One more question, specifically about image sizes now I've started editing....

Am I supposed to be using just the small spaces or expand the items to 201x417? I included an image example (yes I know the boots aren'y properly aligned I'm just needing an example) with the bounding boxes to show what I mean, I don't know how to verbalize it.

I get what you mean. Ideally, trim the pic to content i.e. to the very edges of colored pixels, but only if you have auto-trim or auto-crop option. If you do it manually, first - it's annoying, second - you can accidentally cut off some of needed pixels. Anyway, small pics, no need for full size layer. When items are on as small as possible pic they appear bigger in shop preview and in the center of box. It makes shop preview more user-friendly. If small item is uploaded in a full size layer in shop preview they appear miniature, sometimes you can't even discern a color.

Oh I can't see the colors. The images in the previews are barely seeable to me. I search by color if I need a color, otherwise I have to hover. This site is an absolute accessibility mess and I have already made a mockup of a suggested dark mode, because it hurts to be here lmao.... but thank you for the answer! I want to help get rid of all the "Old MissBimbo" white background items in the shops :D

if we did a bunch of different color variations in the same file as a base, would you want the base file duplicated and cut down to each color variation?
i've made some eyes, and some blush that goes with them. i'm not sure if you'd want either the eyes and the blushes in two separate files, a file for each, or if everything all together in one base file is fine. i've just been making them all in the same place (the same base file using different layers and separate folders). the eyes and blush pngs would be given separately for each option of course

here's an example of what i've been doing! made sure it works with different skin tones, adding a couple more color variations and then i think i'll be ready to submit ^^ (while it is pretty pixely, and ive been using the dot brush basically exclusively, i've found it looks normal when viewed how you'd see the whole body in shop)

Hey you lovely people!! ♡♡♡
Just wondering what the general turnaround time is for the approval process, if there is one? Just thinking I don't want to submit more stuff yet if it greatly affects the timeliness of other submissions etc ♡

hi :) i also have a couple questions about the process for submitting stuff ♥

who decides the price for the item? If approved, are artists able to keep a copy of their pieces? and does it function as a sort of individual seller type thing (where it’s possible to receive commission), or is the shop just a separate entity? thank you so much in advance!

just realized i might need to clarify this here! i know i will need to provide separate image files for shop. what i meant was will i need to separate the different options in the program file i submit (as proof that i was the one who made the items) - basically, whether or not i need to submit multiple program files or if just having different folders in one program file is fine. sorry for any confusion!

No. No time is set in stone. It depends on other players submissions as well, not only on the number of submissions of one player. Even when items are approved, it may still take some time to add them to the shop.
If you, or anyone, have more stuff done and ready, just send them all at once.

1. who decides the price for the item?
2. If approved, are artists able to keep a copy of their pieces?
3. Does it function as a sort of individual seller type thing (where it’s possible to receive commission), or is the shop just a separate entity?
1. Price is decided by Shop Workers and admins.
2. There is no way to get your items transferred in your closet (your acc.) if that's what you asked. The only way to get them is to buy them.
3. There's no cut from the sales that designers receives by default. Not sure what you asked specifically, but the shop is a separate entity in terms that one shop is for all, not individual thing. There are no each designers' shops. No part of shop is connected to any account in order to get cut from sales or items transferred to your acc.

One .psd file for for one item is enough. No need for .psd of each recolor. Meaning, if you have same blush in 15 color variations, send only 1 .psd file and 15 .png files. You can send one .psd file that includes both eyes and blushes, or to separate them in two, however you want and worked on them. Just send .png files separately, eyes recolors and blush recolors because it gives more options for mixing and matching.
