I really want to have one last conversation with you to know what i did, was it something specific? a bunch of things? For whatever i did i'm sorry, and I forgive you for how you hurt me. I know i'm not a bad person, and I know you're a hurt person with things you need to figure out in your life. We all are, but i don't know why after our first and only break we took bc we were hanging out too much, you decide to break it with me. You called me the things you knew i was insecure about to hurt me even more.

i miss you so much. i'm very thankful uncle phil gave me your car when you passed away, i use it every day and i'm so thankful it is one less cost i pay for. i wish i had gotten into crochet while you were still alive, because i'd want to shw you my project. i still have the baby blanket you had made for me 20 years ago. i also am so so so sorry i didn't call you that christmas. we didn't see you because my shitty ex boyfriend had given me covid and i only got out of quarantine on christmas eve. then i was busy and forgot to call you. i regret it so much because you passed away on january 31st 2021 and in that whole month i never reached out. if i had know that november 15th 2020 would have been the last time i ever saw you, i would've hugged you a little longer and told you i loved you a few more times. i miss having pizza parties at your house, i miss your voice, i even miss the way your house smelled like old lady b.o. and cigarettes (it sounds so gross but the nostaglia is all that matters to me). i promise i'll get a new chain for the necklace i have with your ashes and i will start wearing it again soon. and one day i'll visit the netherlands to see where you and opa came from. i wish i had some kind of recording of your voice to hear, and sometimes i look up your obituary and just scroll through the pictures of you that your friends put on there. there's so many things i wish i could do over but you're gone and all i can do is try to make you proud. some of your friends at the funeral told me how much you used to praise me to them, and i want to keep doing what would make you happy. i love you oma.
