Last summer we had a man who claimed to be trans-gendered, go into a store's changing room right after they instituted a policy of allowing 'Trans-gendered' individuals into the changing room's of their choice., and proceed to take cell phone photos of the women in the booth's next to him. Is this the behavior of a woman trapped inside a man's body?
Women who cross dress/are Trans-gendered really don't face the same problem's as male's who cross-dress. For them it is more obvious that they are male. Then It is automatically assumed that they are also homosexual. This is not always true, obviously.
In America, it is very rare to see a woman dressed as a woman, unless at work. Jeans and a tee shirt, for both sex's is the most common sight in the mall, bar's, club's restaurant's and park's. Sometime's my dresses are the only one's I'll see for months at a time.. I can promise you that the 99.7% of women dressed in men's clothes in my town are not Trans-Gendered, even if they look like they are, 6 day's a week.
I find it actually a bit insulting, because I actually do put on a dress on day's I don't work, and have to dress like a police-man for work. I hate not feeling sexy in my clothes so I may get over-dressed for occasion's whenever I can.
I would make an argument that there is no such thing as transgender. Only human's exploring a different side of life with a different perspective than is commonly accepted as normal. Good for them, I say. I like bold people with courage to be real to their feeling's of self. That is Fashion !!!

you can wear a dress as a cis-male (just for fun or you feel like womens clothes are just nicer than mens or whatever), and feel as a (cis-)male, just wanting to wear a dress. that is crossdressing i thought.

When reading something and the writers says, trans-gendered male, I still have to wonder if they mean a biological male or female, or a gendered male or female. The whole term 'Trans gender' is useless in communicating a description of a person's preferred gender identity. it is a descriptive word that is open to very broad interpretation with no information. I actually see it as a negative word and i'm surprised that the LGBT advocacy group doesn't find it totally insulting when that word is used in the press.

I don't run around demanding I'm called a bi-sexual woman. I just stick to being simply a woman and nobody has ever needed to question my sexual desires. I feel more like a human that way.
Labels don't define people unless they want that sort of attention to identify them as separate class of people thus becoming marginalized by choice.
