I like SO MANY stories but idk which count as niche and which don't so I'm going to name a genre one that WAS niche when I was a kid and hope that counts lmao-

Moral Orel. Legitimately is one of the best adult shows I have seen.
In the first episode of Supernatural, Dean goes to visit his brother at Harvard Law School in hopes to get him to help find their father who is on a hunt and hasn't returned in a few days. The boys then go off and find him only for him to end of dead to save deans life, THANK GOD. FUCKING hate jOHN anyway. Sam then gets kidnapped by the same demon that kills his mother along with a few kids similar to him. Jake, some random ass bitch stabs sam in the back and he dies. Dean sells his soul and in return gets one year of living if sam comes back to life. Sam has silly goofy powers and he is working with a demon ruby and drinking her blood to be more powerful. Dean then gets pulled apart by hell hounds and goes to hell. During this time in hell, ruby is working with sam and making him more powerful so she can deceive him and make him free Lucifer. An angel of the lord, Castiel, then grips dean tight and raises him from perdition. Once he returns they accidentally release Lucifer uh oh but dean kills ruby (so slay). Then Sam ends up with Lucifer possessing his body and beats the shit outta dean before sam takes back control and jumps into the cage where Lucifer was stored in hell. Cas then gets sam out of hell, but forgets his soul so sam is just a bitch for half of season 6. Once they get his soul back they put a wall up in his brain to keep the memories of hell away. Cas breaks that wall because he is working with the King of Hell, Crowley, to find purgatory to get creatures to help fight the war in heaven. Sam then goes insane and into a coma. Cas then releases a creature called Leviathan from purgatory and they become one of the toughest opponents yet. The boys meet Charlie, a super hot nerdy lesbian who helps then defeat the leviathans but in doing so, dean and cas get sent to purgatory. Dean breaks out with the help of a friendly vampire, benny, but cas did not. The boys use Kevin, a prophet, to decifer the word of god and learn that there's a spell to close the gates of hell for good. Sam then completes 2/3 trials needed, but dean stops him before he can finish since doing the 3rd would kill sam. During this, an angel metatron (the scribe of god) tricks cas into thinking there are angel trials to put heaven back together, but it was really a spell to cast all angels out of heaven and take their wings. He succeeds and all angels come falling from the sky. The trials were still hard on sam, so instead of killing him, it made him very ill and in a coma. Dean prays for help and the angel Ezekiel offers to possess sam and heal him from the inside. He hides in sam until they learn that Ezekiel is dead and the angel inside sam is actually Gadreel, an angel who's been imprisoned since the beginning of time. Gadreel kills Kevin the prophet, and is working for metatron. Cain, then gives Dean the mark of cain, which turns him into a cold hearted killer (kinda) so dean decides to try to kill metatron with the first blade that only works if you have the mark. Dean fails and is killed my metatron. He comes back as a demon and becomes besties with Crowley, until he's sick of it and goes off on his own. Sam and Cas capture dean and end up curing him off being a demon, but he still has the mark. The boys encounter the family Steins (as in Frankenstein) and they kill Charlie the lesbian and this drives dean mad. He kills every single member of the family (100+) and realizes he has gone too far after beating the shit outta cas. Rowena, the king of hell, Crowleys, mother (a witch) who does a spell to remove the mark, but ends up releasing the darkness, gods sister. She causes some chaos but they end it by simply reuniting The darkness (Amara) and God (chuck). As a thank you, Amara brings back dean and Sams mom who died when they were just kids. During this, sam is captured and tortured by the British men of letter because they felt the American men of letters (Sam and dean) weren't doing good enough and wanted to take over. Lucifer then possesses the president and impregnants a woman. She gives birth to jack, the son of Lucifer. Jack opens a rift when he is born that Mary (the boys mom) and Lucifer get trapped in which leads to an alternate universe where the archangel Michael has taken over and destroyed everything. They do end up beating the british men of letters because they r SAM AND DEAN. They raise jack and try to make sure he is more his mother than his father. Mary escaped along with a bunch of fighters from the other world and they live happily in the new world. Michael and Lucifer then help each other and escape. Lucifer takes jacks powers cuz he's mad that jack doesn't love him and then takes sam and jack. Dean then tells Michael to possess him and save sam and jack, but leave right after. Michael agrees and saves them but doesn't leave. After a few weeks, Michael randomly leaves dean with no explanation. The boys find a spear that can harm Michael and they go to fight him. Little did they know, Michael had left a door open in deans brain and possesses him again and breaks the spear. They end up trapping Michael in deans mind until he eventually escapes after deans head was smashed. Jack dies from losing his powers but is brought back with a spell that gives him powers but if he uses them it burns off his soul. To save everyone he burns off his entire soul and kills Michael. God then returns because he wants to get rid of Jack who's causing too many problems, but accidentally reveals that everything sam and dean have been through was set up by Chuck (god) since he found it entertaining. Chuck says he will leave them alone, but In doing so releases hell on earth. Rowena kills herself to save the world. The boys then spend all their time figuring out a way to kill chuck, but instead, Jack took all of chucks powers and left him human and became the new God. Cas dies because when jack was resurrected, he made a deal with the empty that when he finally is happy, he will be killed. Dean also dies in the very final episode after fighting some vampires and gets impaled by a giant ass nail. The most heartbreaking scene in television happens and then it shows sam and his family, and his son who he named dean. We see that sam lived a long life and dies of old age. The boys meet again in Heaven and that is the end of the show. Incase you cannot tell, I love supernatural. bye.
