Definitely an unpopular opinion and I'm probably going to get hell for this, but if you have absolutely no dysphoria whatsoever even on your worst days and always present within the societal expectation of your designated-at-birth sex (femme/female or masc/male) can you really call yourself nonbinary? Feel free to debate me on this one or civilly explain why I'm wrong, but please don't make it into a personal attack because I'm genuinely trying to understand why people identify as enby when they fit this description. Like what exactly is nonbinary about an AFAB individual who is 100% comfortable with all her primary/secondary sex characteristics 100% of the time and always dresses hyper-feminine? Do they just not like the words male, female, man, woman, she, he, etc.? That's legitimately the only thing I can think of - in which case it would seem you're more against the concept of labeling gender than anything else, which I guess kind of makes you enby but not really? Not trying to be gatekeeper-ey in the slightest, again I am more than open to rational debates on this, just really don't understand why someone would one day wake up and realize that they're nonbinary when their only apparent issue with the binary gender system seems to be the gender-descriptive words themselves.just wondering but honestly, is it any of your business how someone experiences and chooses to label their gender? how does it affect you seeing someone go about their day being feminine and identifying as nonbinary? does it really affect you that much that you need to police other people on their identity?

This understandably caused a small-scale shitstorm among her followers which got me thinking, that's all. I'm not trying to police anyone, I never straight-up said that people who fit the standard I described couldn't be nonbinary - just pondering my own perceptions of gender while getting more comfortable with my newfound androgynous nonbinary identity. I'm twenty-five and while I've been an active member of the queer community for over a decade the frontier of nonbinary genderqueerness is all relatively new to me, didn't mean to offend. You do have a point though - not my body, not my business. If an afab femme wants to be referred to by they/them pronouns and doesn't consider themselves a woman in the slightest I'll respect that 100%.Definitely an unpopular opinion and I'm probably going to get hell for this, but if you have absolutely no dysphoria whatsoever even on your worst days and always present within the societal expectation of your designated-at-birth sex (femme/female or masc/male) can you really call yourself nonbinary?
