I admittedly have a lot to learn and unlearn about my own internalized misogyny (as many people in Western society do) but I really am trying. Maybe I'm just a pissy lil shit because I've been highkey hating my body lately and deeply envy the AFAB enbys out there who never have that problem, idkas someone who used to be in a similar situation (not nb but im a trans guy who used to be incredibly dysphoric and bitter abt people who had no/minor dysphoria) that in itself is part of internalized transphobia. its part of the idea/narrative that to be trans (or nb) is to suffer. it's ingrained in our heads and when we see another non-cis person who isnt suffering, instead of being proud of them and/or happy for them for reaching that state instead we feel envy and maybe even anger. which doesn't mean we're wrong or bad, it's just an idea that's been so deeply internalized that it affects how we view people in our communities.
because as someone who now experiences almost no dysphoria, more often than not when someone has little to no dysphoria it wasn't always that way, and instead was at least in part because of a process of radical acceptance and recovery. they're not just "lucky".
