February is right around the corner, and so are PB elections! In the interest of not distracting from election day and early-term chaos for the winning candidate, I’m going to go ahead and share this full-month event with you all a little bit early! I hope you enjoy it!
This February I am hosting a creative extravaganza, a crossbreed between competition and gifting game where you rack up points for your state by making gifts for other users! It’s somewhat inspired by Art Fight, but is open to much more than visual art, so don’t be discouraged if that’s not your thing!!
Art, writing, crafts, collages, edits, and more are all allowed, and skill has nothing to do with it! If you follow the rules, you get the points! <3 You might make a playlist for another user, a fancam of their Ximbo, a blingee edit, an MS Paint drawing, a detailed woodcut art piece (???), a poem, a fake 5/5 review testimonial, a profile banner, or whatever else you're drawn to do! Be generous, give gifts, and if you’re in the winning state at the end of the month you’ll get a prize!
HOW TO PLAY:
★ There are different “points” for each type of gift, base points listed for many different forms of gifts in the tables below, but don’t be afraid to make something not listed! Points can be evaluated for special entries.
★ Different states have different “multipliers,” listed below as well. This is so that states with fewer users can try to keep up with bigger states! If the multipliers are working WAY too well for the number of entries from each state, I’ll adjust it part-way through and give a heads up!
★ When you make/share a gift, post it here in the thread AND message it to the user involved! I’ll mark down your entry and the points received in my table.
★ At the end of each week, I’ll release a list of all the entries from that week and how many points they made (including the multiplier), as well as the current totals for each state! I’ll also release a list of all users who have given a gift, but have not received one in return. The first person to give a gift to each of these users will get double points on that entry!!
★ SMs and PH members are all welcome to join :) So if you see some gifts from me, don't be surprised!
STATE MULTIPLIERS:
(based off of votes received in the most recent SM election—thank you to Blecky for the suggestion!)
★ Antitheocra: 4x points
★ Athiesta: No multiplier, sorry fishies! Just the base points :)
★ Agnostica: 4.5x points
★ Freethinkerland: 1.5x points
★ Reasonopia: 3x points
★ Secville: 3x points
OTHER POINTS ADJUSTMENTS:
★ First gift given to a user listed on the previous week’s list of “users who have given but not received a gift”: 2x points (double)
★ Gifts given to users outside of your own state: 1.5x points
★ A few other adjustments based on different types of art pieces and detail (see the tables below)

WINNING:
At the end of the month, I’ll tally up the numbers and the winning state will be pronounced! The main “prize” of this competition is actually just the gifts you give each other, but so there’s something to work for, there are other prizes as well! See below…
PRIZES:
All prizes are up to my discretion and that of the other SMs who want to give back to their state or the overall winners!
★ Prizes for every participant from the winning state
★ A prize for the user who made the most BASE points for their state (pre-state multiplier)
★ A prize for the user who made the most distinct, different entries (if different from above)
★ Small prizes for everyone who participated in the first 3 weeks but never received a gift from anyone else :( hopefully this does not happen, though!!
★ A revenge prize for the user who RETURNS the largest number of gifts!! This means that if someone gifts you something, you gift them something right back, and each time you do that it will count as 1 "revenge." Take that!! This is a battle, after all, en garde!! :)

Don't post any gifts until February 1st, but feel free to leave comments or feedback below before then!! You might also consider commenting with your plans to join the game, that way users can know some initial people they might want to gift who are likely to participate in the competition. Through my December Challenge and the Secret Santa Art Exchange I learned there are a huge number of users on this site who want to be creative in any way they can and are generous with their creativity, so let's make that a whole game!
