i haven't filled out all of my slots yet, but it would be a very good idea to have more categories as it would open up a whole door for creativity and ideas. I find myself making a fantasy look after fantasy look. It would be nice to have sub categorizes within the fantasy category such as satanic, angelic, goddess, science fiction, warrior, or even monsters.

I think it would be an awesome idea never can have too many slots or catagories.

I'm on board with the idea of having a larger maximum number of slots, despite not having all of mine unlocked yet. It'd be nice if people didn't need to frequently delete their outfits in order to make new ones, if they had all of them already filled and there were no more to buy.

As for new categories, I like that the ones we have are vague enough to see a wide scope of interpretations. Feels more fun that way, I think. I think it'd be nice to have some new ones though, preferably vague enough for that kind of freedom. As some other people have suggested before, I like the idea of a cute category, and a formal/celebratory. A cultural one sounds fun too, for people to build looks inspired by their own cultures and whatnot. I was going to suggest a "basic" or "minimalist" category, but there's already a casual one so it's likely unnecessary. :P

Someone also mentioned an avant-garde category, which sounds neat imo. Perhaps a high fashion category or something like that could work?
And since we have a retro one, I like the idea of a futuristic category (though since that could already fit into fantasy, maybe not).

I've already seen this idea pop up in this discussion a few times, but I would also like to see a history category being added.

With the recent shop updates, I think something like space travel would also work since it gives people the option to dress as space adventurers or a aliens etc.

Another category (which I have already seen appeals to many people on this site) is possibly a cute/lolita category.

I also think that it might be a good idea to create separate categories for seasonal and holidays. I think it was torrenoia (sorry if I misspelled that ^^') who suggested a celebrations category. Maybe we can combine the holidays such as Easter, Christmas etc. and celebrations like a wedding into one category and keep the seasonal category for weather-related outfits only.

I am also in favour of the other categories listed in the initial post.

Lastly, I would like to see anywhere between 5 and 10 new slots being added, but to be honest I will be happy even if we get between 3 and 5 new slots with 1 or 2 new categories :D

I would love more slots and more/new categories.

(not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread, know it has come up in the forum in the past though) I think a photo album type of thing, separate from the outfit slots, were you could save a look that you don't want to delete (and have the ability to see what items makeup the outfit); could be different option to free up slots.  Although it would probably be easier from a programming standpoint to code in more slots, than a whole new profile section.

I really like this idea of a photo album type of thing. If something like this would be too difficult to create, would it be possible to increase the number of outfit slots we can have to about 30 (that number is just an example to make my point), but then only be allowed to display about 22 of those outfits as a way to avoid the outfits taking up too much space on a profile?

That way, we would be able to create and keep more outfits for longer periods of time without needing to display it at all times. If people would like to display these outfits, they can change the ones on display as frequently as they want.

Thank you, Toki, for this campaign! A bimbo can never have enough outfit slots! :D At least 4 more would be good.
Regarding categories, I like the PBFC idea the best. Would love to have that category! I have some suggestions too: bohemian, academic/preppy (like dark academia, I love that aesthetic). Also, I miss the punk category. I'd love to have that one back.

Yes please more slots for sure. I like and have already suggested in the past elsewhere that we should have a No Category slot to use for challenging others without a theme. Our state minister is right on track.

great speach Toki, thank you for bringing the theme up again! :)

I actually don't need all the slots anymore because some of the categories started to annoy me. but that is only me and as a member of this site because it's a fashion game, my intention is to create outfits! so more slots are always welcome, the more the better! As long as we have the possibility to use them but can hide them :)

as already stated, some of the actual categories are annoying me already. I totally miss some really different categories as some of the existing ones are really similar (craigslist-stripper has worked this out alreay). I would appreaciate to get some additional ones that are different from what we have: I miss the punk category - "subculture" would be awesome. "cultural" sounds pretty interesting too, it opens room for different and new culture. personally I use the date/romantic for wedding stuff or party to create celebration looks. but to have a "celebration" category would give me the chance to have my party slot free for what I actually understand it is.

I do heavily appreciate to get a PBFC category so the PBFC outfit could be published for competitions! :)
And actually I miss a catecory to place my current "seasonal" look, but I have no idea, what the category for such a theme could be...?

At least 20. Not all of them would be visible as no-category outfits. We certainly need more slots free from outfits for categories to be able to make outfits for contests. Sometimes we don't want to clear some of old outfits but want to keep and hide them.

Good morning everyone! I'm so happy to see how many of you have voiced your opinions here while I was sleeping.  smiley apro

@Destiney: I really like those ideas but on the other hand they are subcategories and I don't want to push totally new ideas in this thread (for having sub-categories for main categories right now). You can create all those looks in fantasy category. At this point I'm pretty sure the game developers are not ready to change the entire slot system because it would require much more work than just adding normal slots.

@Athena019: I also love the lookbook idea  and would like to see it in the future but I’m not so eager to push that either forward right now, because it would have to be programmed totally different way than slots and it seems that they are lacking resources. I want to be realistic for what we ask for at this point so that we could actually get them. :)

@Misaki Hariyama: History category is pretty complicated since we have “retro” already. What worries me is that they might get mixed and remind each other too much. I know that many here knows what retro actually means and are aware that it really doesn’t include outfits from middle-ages or Ancient Egypt. But of course people want to dress up in those outfits since we have amazing items for those (and retro is the closest category for that).

What if retro was replaced with history instead of adding a whole new category? History would allow people to dress up either in 50’s fashion or Ancient Egyptian look.

Turning seasonal look to be only about seasons and weather and having a new category for holidays might give us two similar categories. I'm afraid that the holidays category might be updated too slowly, if I understand right what you mean: if we follow ongoing holidays for updating the slot - like Easter ---> what's coming next? Something in the summer anyways. And if we do not follow the holidays, I would get kinda frustrated of creating for example a Christmas outfit in the middle of summer (but that's just me :P ). In my opinion seasonal works the way it is now (combined with weather + holidays) but lets wait if there comes more ideas for that :)

@FavouriteWorstNightmare: Yeah, punk is missed. I will add to the poll list too but it’s competing with subculture and alternative. Should academic/dark academic be just academic or have them separated in poll? I'm not familiar with this ;)

@turboprinzessin: This is a bit off-topic but, I think your outfit fits quite well to seasonal look, because that’s what most of us really look right now :P Otherwise it could also fall into pajama party look but having it in seasonal category describes its theme better.

@Everyone: There are many great ideas so far but when you suggest them, please consider if they are actually a subcategory for the categories we already have. For example, we maybe shouldn’t go for too specific seasonal categories like Easter or Christmas or history: ancient Egypt, ancient Greek, Middle ages… Also remember that for possible new categories there have to be items in shops already, the point is not to push shop workers and designers to do anything extra because of this. :)
