I would love more slots and more/new categories.
(not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread, know it has come up in the forum in the past though) I think a photo album type of thing, separate from the outfit slots, were you could save a look that you don't want to delete (and have the ability to see what items makeup the outfit); could be different option to free up slots. Although it would probably be easier from a programming standpoint to code in more slots, than a whole new profile section.
Peace and love to you all.
I do not have a Paypal Account, please DO NOT send me money.
At least 20. Not all of them would be visible as no-category outfits. We certainly need more slots free from outfits for categories to be able to make outfits for contests. Sometimes we don't want to clear some of old outfits but want to keep and hide them.
@Athena019: I also love the lookbook idea and would like to see it in the future but I’m not so eager to push that either forward right now, because it would have to be programmed totally different way than slots and it seems that they are lacking resources. I want to be realistic for what we ask for at this point so that we could actually get them. :)
@Misaki Hariyama: History category is pretty complicated since we have “retro” already. What worries me is that they might get mixed and remind each other too much. I know that many here knows what retro actually means and are aware that it really doesn’t include outfits from middle-ages or Ancient Egypt. But of course people want to dress up in those outfits since we have amazing items for those (and retro is the closest category for that).
What if retro was replaced with history instead of adding a whole new category? History would allow people to dress up either in 50’s fashion or Ancient Egyptian look.
Turning seasonal look to be only about seasons and weather and having a new category for holidays might give us two similar categories. I'm afraid that the holidays category might be updated too slowly, if I understand right what you mean: if we follow ongoing holidays for updating the slot - like Easter ---> what's coming next? Something in the summer anyways. And if we do not follow the holidays, I would get kinda frustrated of creating for example a Christmas outfit in the middle of summer (but that's just me :P ). In my opinion seasonal works the way it is now (combined with weather + holidays) but lets wait if there comes more ideas for that :)
@FavouriteWorstNightmare: Yeah, punk is missed. I will add to the poll list too but it’s competing with subculture and alternative. Should academic/dark academic be just academic or have them separated in poll? I'm not familiar with this ;)
@turboprinzessin: This is a bit off-topic but, I think your outfit fits quite well to seasonal look, because that’s what most of us really look right now :P Otherwise it could also fall into pajama party look but having it in seasonal category describes its theme better.
@Everyone: There are many great ideas so far but when you suggest them, please consider if they are actually a subcategory for the categories we already have. For example, we maybe shouldn’t go for too specific seasonal categories like Easter or Christmas or history: ancient Egypt, ancient Greek, Middle ages… Also remember that for possible new categories there have to be items in shops already, the point is not to push shop workers and designers to do anything extra because of this. :)
