good morning yall, ive been sick for over a week and cant go to class because im waiting for test results to make sure im not super contagious </3 hope youre all staying healthy this time of year!!

I’ve been working as a support worker for the past few years and I’ve found myself feeling really exhausted and quite fed up with it recently. do other people in social services/healthcare feel the same? I know burnout is so common in these industries :-( im trying to get a full time job in child welfare but im actually feeling really apprehensive and anxious about it. I worked hospitality for many years though and I hated it so im relieved I’ll never have to go back to that. I was the worst waitress, I was very clumsy and too shy and quiet, and also a flop bartender because I barely drank at the time so I knew nothing about alcohol lol!

I swear everyone is getting so sick these days. This cold/flu season hitting like no tomorrow. Everyone in my house has a lingering cold for the past week and a half. Wishing everyone wellness and light this gloomy fall…
IT'S FINALLY GETTING CHILLY!!! im so excited but i absolutely need to get my flu shot. it's been unbearably hot (like why is it 75 in the middle of september) so even with the sickness im grateful to not sweat out my shirt by the time i walk to class :D
on a separate note, i just finished a full-ish day of volunteering! by total accident, absolutely did NOT meant to spend my whole day off doing it but at least it was for a good cause. i got there at 11:30, left at 3 to grab lunch/take a break, and then came back at 5:30 and finally got to leave for real at 8 pm. i normally only do the later sessions/at night, but i didn't have any classes so i came in for some extra hours. main issue now is that i got absolutely NO homework done *cries*
