Just now I got a real good itch to write, and since my book project doesn't tempt me atm I decided that why not just write here, for a change? I usually don't write because my life is pretty dull and uneventful. Not that I complain, I love my life, but usually it's nothing to write about. But just now I realized that I've actually had a really eventful, fun and interesting fall!First came the trip to Croatia I wrote about in September. And the 14th of September I started taking a course in Spanish! I've been wanting to take a course forever, but just haven't bothered to Google. But my Google Master of a step mom did it for me, and we found a place called Institut Francais en Norvege, and they have several Spanish courses! So I contacted them and started a level 3 course on 14/9. I really struggled to find the book that the teacher told me to buy, because he said it was called Unidad (unity) but then when he sent me a text with the isbn it was called Caminando (walking)! I was dying of laughter. Here I had searched all the book stores in Stavanger PLUS online for Unidad, and the book was called Caminando! I was a bit embarrassed walking back to my closest book store, but hey, it wasn't my messing up. So, anyways, the course is good. In the beginning I felt like it was too difficult for me, but the others said that they felt the same in the beginning. Joselo, the teacher, speaks MUY RAPIDIAIMO and he doesn't always explain things, but after a couple of week I was up to speed. I took Spanish at high school, and I discovered that I recognized a lot and knew a lot more than I thought, so that's a good thing! And the teacher and one of the guys are pretty cute, lol.
It's pretty funny though, me being vision impaired and saying that. For me, a guy who is cute looks cute, as far as I can say, but I also define an appealing voice and being pleasant as "looking handsome/being cute" as well.
Anyways, Spanish is good. Something that's far from it is the fact that the roof in the house I'm living in needs to be completely redone. The fact is that the roof hasn't been changed since the 0's, and now repairs can't do much anymore. A roof fix costs at least 30K USD. That is 5K on each apartment. And none of us can just fork up 5K. I get 1.2K a month in dissability benefit, that's all. Rent takes half, and I have 6K to live 600 to live for. WAH! The leader wanted to have a meeting with me, and I invited my dad to come too, because he knows more about roofs and economy thingies than us both. So we had a nice dinner with her as we got things worked out. Both my dad and the leader is gonna research their different things, so hopefully things will work out. Maybe we can get a common loan so that we all can pay on it, bit by bit, because for now none of us but my neighbor in 2nd floor can just fork out 5K.
On a happier note, I visited my li'l sis and her BF with my dad the last weekend in October. My dad gave me the trip as a birthday present (oh yeah, I turned 33 the 21st of Sept, yay or nay, not sure lol). We flew from Stavanger around 6pm on Friday, and we were settled in my sis' apartment in Oslo around 7:30. They had made tapas for us, and we ate and drank all night. Fucaccia bread, olives, different cheeses, salads, serene ham, and the best bacon wrapped figs (they're not fig but similar, I don't know the word in English, dark, small wrinkly things) and lots more. My sister and her bf bought an apartment together in December last year, moved in in March. I had never seen it, which was the main reason why I wanted to go, but also to see them of course. It was beautiful, and my sis is such a good decorator so everything, furniture and interior was beautifully put together. On Saturday we went to Outlet Vestby, an outlet that sells mostly designer things and sport things. I don't like sports, but I found two pairs of skinny jeans from Lee. Both fit like hand in glove, but one pair was super comfy too. Later we went home and took an Aperol Spiritz and got ready to go out to eat. My sis had made reservations at a place called Bass. We got 7 courses which all was amazing. Now I can't remember what we ate for the life of me, except one course had Tartar in it. It's SOOOO good! what is it with me and raw things? I love Sushi, and now I obviously like tartar as well, lol. Then we went to a bar and had a few drinks, but decided to go home and continue there. We had such a good time! On Sunday we just walked around Grúnerløkka, where my sis lives. The others visited some kind of traveling store, I got a lip balm on the Body shop since I didn't have time to visit Lush (duh, why isn't Lush in my area?) It was ok but Honey Trip from Lush is just sooo much better, lol. Then we ate at some italian place. The others liked their food but I got unlucky and had a pizza with Gorgonzola cheese and bacon. The bacon was soooo salt! Afterwards we picked up our bags and took the bus to the train station and took the train to the airport. We had such a good weekend, and I can't wait until next time. But guess what? My sis is coming to Stavanger in a week! She'll attend some party with her friends and do a launch at h&M. She works for NYX so she travels a bit.
Today I had my dad on pizza as he helped me clean my place (vision impaired-thing again, I don't see all the dust in the corners). Or, he was supposed to, but he said I had done such a good job myself that he had nothing to do lol. I have leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. I ordered a new type from the pizzeria across the street, fruity de mare. It was very yummy with scampi and mussels etc.
That completes the wall of text for now, lol. If you got through it, kudos!
