this is mainly targeted at the 'cheeks' section, but can there please be a bigger/better variety of makeup options for the darker skin tone(s)?? a while back i was doing a cosplay look for atsuko jackson + was kinda shocked cus most of the makeup items i used regularly for the 'tan model' did not translate the same onto the 'dark model'.i've listed some example with pictures.
the dewy skin effect (also looks pretty washed out on the tan skin too tbh):
the anime cheeks (as u can see there's little to no difference between the pink/beige colours on the dark skin whereas the colour difference is clear on the lighter skin. it also appears as the same reddish tone on the darker skin):
the bronzer (with makeup above, without makeup below). there's hardly a difference on the dark skin:
and lastly, the freckles are also barely noticeable?:
it's not a case of it being hard to create makeup which translates well onto the darker skins. it's just a case of having to experiment with a greater range of shades/colours and create something that works well on more than just the lighter skin tones. a lot of the examples i've put (e.g. the dewy skin + bronzer) could be solved by just creating warmer/deeper versions of the original. players shouldn't be limited to certain makeup options in the shop just bc ppl arent really testing their makeup designs on more than one skin colour. the examples i've put are just items that i use regularly and found difficult to work with when trying to do the cosplay. if there are any players who use the dark skin model as a default pls feel free to add any problems uve experienced with beauty parlour items
it's also annoying cos if ur a poc (especially someone who is darker), u will know the struggle of walking into a makeup store IRL and having the very few makeup options there are for ur skin tone be too ashy/light/washed out etc so it sucks playing an online game and having that be a problem too lol
anyways just saying this incase there are any SW's who would like to take it up. i was planning to do some original makeup work for the shop but i really suck at recolouring/editing existing items so...
