I don’t think any books should be banned ever
its important to see different perspectives imo. Books regardless of the content or controversy should NEVER be banned. I do think it’s up to the parents to decide what they believe is appropriate for their kids but I do believe a gay couple existing is not inherently sexual. I also think that in general sexual education is important. Sixth grade is when kids should be taught how to avoid stds and practice safe sex. Regardless of it being gay or straight sex. Growing up a lot of people I knew were engaging in sex at that age so it’s important for schools to educate students because some parents may not, or rely on the schools to do so. By not teaching kids about what sex is and how to have safe sex that increases child pregnancies. Which is dangerous and just bad in general imo.
